To "know" someone was taking care of you and watching over you would feel great. I wish I could believe it, but honestly you might as well try to convince me of Santa Clause.

I don't blame you Christians for believing at all is what I'm trying to say. But please understand that I can't, even though it would be nice (minus the dogma).

Does anyone else feel the same way?

P.S. Please don't try to convert me since I've already explained my position.

Do you believe that we as a human race should also ban the burning of coal? Since coal contains contains carbon atoms, and its possible that these carbon atoms might have been intended to go into a human being?

Wouldn't it be the responsible thing to do? To prevent all coal from being burnt?

I just wonder, George Carlin would be proud.

Did God loose the bet in Eden?

We know he won the bet with Job.

Why didn't God bet double or nothing?

Was he afraid he'd lose?

My MIL thinks that each sin is equal...for example if you kill someone, it's the same as lying to your mother. What do you think of that? Besides my MIL being a loon, of course.

I just wanna see if I understand your reasoning, if you are against gay marriage,

you state its because this would change the definition of marriage, which traditionally has been between a man and a woman, as defined by the Bible. Is that true?

So here is my question(s), # 1 - In the United States of America, what does the First Amendment state about religion, is there something in there about Congress shall not prohibit the (blank) (blank)? # 2 - Are there some religions who promote and expect that their members will have plural marriage, in fact, is plural marriage something that occurred in the Old Testement of the Bible and was promoted or encouraged? # 4 - Didn't that King Solomon have 700+ wives, and still held the favor of God (understand he lost it cause of lust). # 5 - Would it be that bad for society to actually change the definition of marriage, since society has had changes to it before with divorce becoming more common place?

Thanks for your time.

I am having trouble. I dont have much access on the internet to ask my mentor, u are the only ones i can ask.

I recently talked to a guy who claims he belongs to a UK Wiccan group. He told me that if i let him teach me his ways i will be able to see everything, have almighty powers, use black magick without recieving a price, control witches and demons and devils and the prince of darkness and vampires, and how to become one with the God Almighty. To me this doesn't feel right. Is there really such a thing or is he pulling me into a trap?

I have honed the ability to have premenitions. They keep gettin vivider and stronger, they also take a path im not understanding. Is it possible to have preminitions of a past life?

My immpression of the difference between a Wiccan and a Witch is that a Witch was born with the ability of psychic and/or magick, and Wiccans are those who choose to become a Witch. Is my immpression correct? Forgive me for im new at this. I dont mean to insult.

that they have written another book to add to the bible, their book went along with the teachings in the bible, and spoke good about your god. would you believe him that it was inspired by god? would you want it to be apart of your bible?

why/why not?

Revelation 22:19
And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

ok, now is this relating ONLY to the book of revelation? or is this the entire book. note: "this book of prophecy"

if you think it means the entire bible, dont u know that the bible wasnt even compiled till years after this was written?

A few years back my hubby and I found out we can't have children - it was before we got married. I went to my Dr for some advice but agreed to see a stand in as my Dr was on hols at the time. The stand in Dr's 'advice' was to tell me that maybe me and my hubby were not blessed with children because we were unmarried. I mentioned this to a friend who told me he was a known religious man and had had complaints made about his own brand of medical advice before.

What do you think? Was he justified in getting me crying in my car after making me feel an even bigger failure than before (and also very angry) or is there a time to leave your personal beliefs at the door no matter how strongly you feel?

All opinions welcome - religious or otherwise

I saw some posts last night re: God and evil, but I am wondering more along the lines of whether God is presence in all things. If he is, then must he not be present in evil things as well. I read some answers posted about 9 months ago, but they didn't really explain it. Some answered that evil occurs when people turn their backs to God. However, I just want to understand how God can be omnispresent (or as I've been told he is in everything and is everywhere) but at the same time it is claimed that he isn't part of evil. Please explain if you understand what I mean by this.

Sorry if this offends. I don't want to be rude, just trying to better understand some teachings that I have heard by others. Thanks.

Would you be angry and bothered that somone woke you up?

Christians are trying to wake you up, and tell you that there's a fire, and Jesus can save you from it. Why be so angry and bothered about that?

I asked this question yesterday and all the lost responded with nonsense! Answer the question! Look at John 4:21-26v then go to Acts 1:8 then go to Acts 2:1-4, then go to Genesis 2:5-8v, Gen 2:16-18v, Gen. 2:25 Gen 3:7v then respond!! Go and open up your Bibles and read each one of those passages then respond. Look the fall is why we have so much confusion. Read my profile and examine the topics we have been posting before responding! We are telling all who read the truth! If we were to start explaining these passages in detail majority of you self proclaimed scholars would be lost. The sad reality of it is that when you post unlearned, unthoughtout, "freethinking" "OPINIONS" YOU announce your ignorance. Only reason we are posting is to inform the sincere who are truly looking for spiritual "meat"! And you unauthorized evangelizing frauds start posting your false doctrines. Information is "suppose" to be "factual" conclusive! You people are listing "opinions" because your a freethinker

Some people think that their problems is God, while He gave the life ,feelings, and the knowledge of right and wrong. Which somethimes turns out on them if they commit bad doings and then they blame God. Or if they had something terrible to happen to them when they were little. Maybe it was not Gods will, but the perons will to do that to themselfs of their children.

When the information explosion that is occurring (exponentially!) continues to present more and more evidence against Christianity (and Islam, etc) that will eventually force it's followers to find another means of faith?

I am curious what you will do? I realize that some Christians will readily "die" for Christ and have staked their entire existence/psychology/identity/emotion on Jesus - so I am concerned that this either will:

a. Cause them to do something irrational like suicide or just going bananas.

b. Cause them to retreat even further in to delusion and just be bananas.

c. Become Buddhist, Agnostic, Atheist.
