Do you believe that we as a human race should also ban the burning of coal? Since coal contains contains carbon atoms, and its possible that these carbon atoms might have been intended to go into a human being?

Wouldn't it be the responsible thing to do? To prevent all coal from being burnt?

I just wonder, George Carlin would be proud.

it won't work because christians get to pick and choose who or what kind of life is important.

animals = unimportant, don't go to heaven (i always thought this was sad)
2 cell human embryos= important
crackhead on the corner = not important, send them to hell
abortion doctor = that's a bombing
suicide victim = oops, off to hell with you.

Carbon atoms are not destroyed by burning coal - the only way to destroy atoms is in a nuclear reaction... the carbon in coal just becomes carbon dioxide so your argument is entirely fatuous in that respect and the carbon atoms could still be destined to be incorporated into a person.

Belief that abortion is wrong because a fetus is alive may or may not be incorrect but those anti-abortionists who are also Christians should be aware that the Bible teaches that a baby isn't alive until it draws its first breath and therefore abortion is not destroying life, only POTENTIAL life. What about burning wood? Trees are alive, aren't they? And killing livestock for meat? Surely a cow is just as much alive as a clump of embryonic cells which may or may not grow into a human being.

I gotta agree with derovius.
Try hitting the shift key and then punching all the numbers on your keyboard, in random order, over and over until you use up all the characters for a question. The people who responded to this have no earthly idea what you are talking about - several don't understand the relationship between humans and carbon atoms, much less the difference between potential and actuality.
Why waste a good argument on Neanderthals? Give them random symbols instead - they'll respond the same way in any case.

Well, I really don't care much about the burning of coal, but it should be handled so no one can become harmed.

By the way, you seem to ask a lot of questions about the human race. It's kind of...obsessive.

Since no lump of coal has ever grown up to be a human being, I think your point is very interesting .... but totally STUPID!

I can understand how you might think something made of the same material you have nestled between your ears might become a person. You do have a lot in common with rocks.

I say we should burn it all. I think I know a good place to start.

I concur, and we need to outlaw the drinking of water as well. Since the body is some 65%+ water, we are in fact, drinking possible human beings as well.

And, we must all stop breathing as well. Since oxygen is a part o water, by breathing, we are inhibiting the making of water, which in turn will inhibit the creation of more humans.

Don't even get me started on the cruelty felt by the sperm at the hands of spermicides and condom with spermicidal lubricants. It just drives me crazy.

hm, funny, they say its so different, using examples that don't even apply to a fetus... for example, one person thinks fetuses wear shoes, another thinks they "breathe, think, talk, eat, and all the other things humans do" (does that include things like voting, having sex, driving a car?)

seems a bit of a stretch

Humans are equal with coal? Yep, the wisdom of evolution really raises the bar to low levels doesn't it?

People can choose to BELIEVE evolution but life and their hearts will always support the reality of creation. If a raccoon knocks over your garbage can, you may shoot it without any guilt or conscience. If your neighbor kid does it, you wouldn't shoot him, would you? But you'll say we're all animals. If that's the case then why are people punished for acting like them? Abortion is the result of evolution. And evolution is an evil belief system that leads to death.

How can you compare coal to a human life? Does coal breathe, think, talk, eat, and all the things that human do?

Well, first they need to believe that carbon exists, and that the devil didn't just make it up so people would stop believing. You're talking to a brick wall friend, only thing that gets through it the sledge.
