Would you be angry and bothered that somone woke you up?

Christians are trying to wake you up, and tell you that there's a fire, and Jesus can save you from it. Why be so angry and bothered about that?

I actually was staying at a hotel when a fire started and you do not have a choice on whether or not to be woke up. Hotel fire alarms will wake the dead! You can literally hear it blocks away.

Let's say I'm staying at a hotel. And someone knocks on my door screaming that there's a fire. But there's no smoke, no flame, everything is fine. They show me a book and claim that it means there is a fire. Another person reads the same book and says that the fire is allegory.

The person who claims there is a fire shrugs and leaves. They don't actually care if I get burned alive which leads me to one conclusion: there never was a fire and everyone knows it. But if they admit that, then they have to get their head out of the book and live their life.

As a Jew, I am angry and bothered about Christians trying to push Jesus on me. Why shouldn't I be? How would you feel if Jews went around saying everyone who doesn't believe as we do is wrong and headed for hell? Do you actually believe that you can convince anyone with what you said?

Of course. It looks like some people would rather wait for the fire to get to their room before running out of their hotel.

There is no fire, you only imagine there is. You've woken me up and I've checked the entire hotel...no smoke, no fire. It's all in your head. I know you read in a book that says there's a fire in the hotel, but the book is a work of fiction. I prefer reality to living out my life based on things from fiction.

Christians are falsely setting off the fire alarm. It's disturbing my sleep, very annoying, and you should be arrested if you keep doing it.

Say I'm at home, sitting quietly on my couch, minding my own business. All of a sudden, someone in the midst of a hallucination comes pounding at my door, saying that the hotel is on fire, and I need to get out. And will not take no for an answer.

Can you see why I would get a bit peeved about this?

I understand that's what Christians are trying to do, and I understand that they think they are right. Do you and other Christians understand that atheists are trying to tell you and all other theists that people have been shouting "fire" all over the hotel, when there's not any fire?

You want to know why you're full of sh**? If there was a fire in a hotel, and I didn't believe the people trying to get me out, I could stick my head out the door and smell the smoke.

Your so called spiritual fire fails in this regard; only you smell the smoke, making you crazy :).

Ok, so you put a limit on the options. Can't they just carry my bed out without waking me up? And they don't even have to be Christians.

Yes, but this is not a fire. This is what YOU think is a fire. A fire would be an actual fire.

Atheists are trying to wake you up to let you know that you're wasting your lives dreaming it all away.

You see, it can be turned around can't it?
