So why then most parents here take their kids to Sunday School?

Mental child abuse is a felony in some states, let me tell you.

I know what you are trying to say, but you have mis-spoke. I think you mean secular cultists?

Sectarian refers to the various dogmatic division among adherents of differing religious points of view...i. e. "sects" One speaks of the sectarian violence between Catholics and Protestants in North Ireland, and the current sectarian violence between Sunni and Shia Muslims.

Cults too generally apply to religious group, though not exclusively. The only difference between a cult and a mainstream religion is the number of followers.

All that being said, I agree that teaching children religious dogma qualifies as a form of child abuse. It warps their thinking and way they look at the world, and many struggle when they get older and realize it is all lies, just like the lies about Santa Claus.

I thank God that you are not a jurist who can write the legal definition of child abuse. I guess you think that slasher movies, video games, porno and sporting events where the fights are more important than the competition is appropriate viewing material for children who have developing brains.

Yeah I am a Christian, but nope on the sunday school for the children, as young as my children are they can discern the truth of the Lord for themselves it is something they carry within them. No brainwashing. Matter of fact they believed before me, w/o my teaching them anything.

My kids don't attend church, so there are no worries here. I simply give them textbook explainations of the various religions.

So far, my 13 year old is considering being a Deist.
