but support the Death Penalty?

So murdering innocents is wrong, but killing criminals is all right?

Are they "Pro-Life" or "Pro-Whatever-I-Think-Is-Right"?

I agree wholeheartedly.

Any country that supports the death penalty has no business trying to outlaw abortions.

Especially with our criminal justice system so flawed, that over 120 people on death row have been found to be innocent, and innocent people have been executed.

The US is one of the last countries in the world with a death penalty. We're supposed to be the greatest country in the world, is this the best we can do?

!Hi,
I'm sure you will find it is we feel that life begins at conception. If let to progress on a normal developmental course, it will result in a human being. All human life has a right to live. If that right is taken from it, it is called murder. Some use the Bible as a guide to what is right or moral in this case, and it states that life starts at conception. So if God says it starts then, then who are we to do or say otherwise! I think the real problem is we don't want to take responsibility for our actions. Which is, if you have sex....be prepared to have children. If you don't want to have children..or the chance of having children, don't engage in sex. It's that simple. The child is the result of the sex. So this touches on a much deeper moral issue. Let's face it we are all sinners, some sins are much more in the public eye than others. This sin can and does end in many cases in murder. Just something to think about! Hope the answer wasn't too heavy for you, but it is what it is. Sex is the root cause. Murder may be the final results. Two wrongs don't make a right.

When a man and a woman have unprotected sex and create a life, that life deserves to be lived. The child had no part of this decision, therefore should not be punished/killed for something it had no control over.

A murder, rapist, child molester was well aware of their actions, the law, and the punishment ( death penalty or life in prison)they would receive if caught and found guilty. This was THEIR decision so they deserve to be punished. Once they are permanently removed from society, they are no longer a threat.

Pro-Lifers are opposing abortion because abortion is killing a innocent child and supporting the death penalty is agreeing that people who kill for fun and for pleasure should be punished.

The reason si simple. People who call themselve "pro-life" but support the death penality are not "pro-life." They have hijacked the term to fit their own definition, simply because they do not want to call themselves "anti-abortion" (it sounds better to be for something, like life, than against something).

I am am Pro-Life, and am tired of people who don't understand the true meaning of the phrase.

I think one reason could be that an infant hasn't committed a crime that some deem worthy of being taken out of the gene pool. Those that favor the death penalty may feel you can rid society of those that muder and rape and ...

I used to be that way, but recently came to the realization that all killing is wrong. Sometimes it's necessary, but when you have a person behind bars for the rest of their life it's not necessary to kill them to prevent them from committing more crimes.
