When the information explosion that is occurring (exponentially!) continues to present more and more evidence against Christianity (and Islam, etc) that will eventually force it's followers to find another means of faith?

I am curious what you will do? I realize that some Christians will readily "die" for Christ and have staked their entire existence/psychology/identity/emotion on Jesus - so I am concerned that this either will:

a. Cause them to do something irrational like suicide or just going bananas.

b. Cause them to retreat even further in to delusion and just be bananas.

c. Become Buddhist, Agnostic, Atheist.

Thus far, the "information explosion" has largely CONFIRMED the word of God.

Such information includes;

The fact that the very archeologists who discovered the tomb James Cameron is not claiming to be that of our Savior, confirmed, ten years ago, that it was the tomb of another man named Jesus (a very popular name at the time) who dies more then three hundred years after the Son of God.

The fact that the 'Piltdown Man', the very foundation of the theory of evolution, was a hoax perpetrated by a scientist in an attempt to make a name for himself (not unlike the scientists who dogmatically support this theory today).

etc.

Thus, while God does not need to be validated by physical proof, the more such proof emerges, the more logical people will forced to recognize the grace of God (illogical people will undoubtedly cling to their antitheist/Communistic beliefs, but little can be done about this).

You are right about information explosion. Imagine 50 years ago a forum where atheists could publicly (or semi-publicly) point out passages in the bible that do not make sense. Those atheists would have been hassled by the FBI and would have had their lives ruined. (McCarthism and all of that). Today, with the internet, a person in Ireland can post something that can be read instantly by someone in Australia. There is no christian control over the internet.

Today, not only can atheists present their point of view, people are becoming more aware of aspects of science that contradict the bible. Every day, you can find more and more research and studies that add more insight to evolution, geology, genetics, archeology, paleontology, and a plethora of other sciences. The news can bring us so much more information today than it did a few decades ago. Religious people are having a very difficult time trying to explain away all of the new discoveries because they are coming in too fast.

Imagine what the next 50 years will bring. I read an article today that said that some christians believe that atheism is winning.

I believe that the Christians will make an even stronger Iron clad "bubble" for themselves and dilude themselves into believeing that they are even more right than they are now. I personaly have never met a "TRUE" Christian. They have ALL been hypocrites. Im sure the Christians out there believe that the information age has only solidified their argument instead of blown it out of the water as it has.
You and I seem to be cut from the same cloth. I think you will come to realize that the argument just isnt worth the aggravation. I think its stupid to argue over who has the best imaginary friend.

The "information explosion" is exactly what Christianity needs, just as during the first coming. Your assumption seems to be that enlightenment is bad for Christianity. I'm on the other side of the coin.

Get real...did you watch The Tomb of Jesus. I know you were all expecting a whole new crop of doubters, lol...did not work. The theologians who spoke said that the question would be...how does that effect you faith...My answer he said...NOT AT ALL.

No need to concern yourself, different aspects of belief in God has been challenged for the last 2000 years...we are all still here and doing well. *WG

Note: You are the only disillusioned ones, perhaps it is you we should worry about.

Someone posting on the internet (ie, information age) that my faith isn't true and God isn't real is not going to affect my life, sorry. :-)

I've had so much personal direct experience with God, with the Bible, and with faith, that it is firmly established. It's like trying to argue that the holocaust wasn't real (and presenting arguments and "evidence" that it wasn't real) to a HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR. You can SAY whatever you want, they know that it was real because they LIVED THROUGH IT.

LOL- it's kind of ridiculous. I'm sorry, my direct experience trumps the "articles" and arguments against God. :-)

Please site the evidence that is exponentially disproving Christianity. In answer to you question, i feel that IF...(a whopping big if) Christianity was disprove beyond a shadow of a doubt, Id be thankful that Ive lived life according to Jesus's teachings, and continue to do so. After all, if you manage to disprove the spiritual side of it, isn't what he teaches us to be moral and loving to one another? Wheres the harm in that.

You athiests think you all are so smart but you arn't. I will use only one example, scientists believe that the earth used to be completly covered in water. Well in the Bible that is what the Great Flood was. So really you should be asking yourself, "why am I so stupid?"

I will answer your question with a question.

What will you do when your government says it is now a law that you must be micro-chipped with an rfid both for security and to buy and sell or trade for your way of life to continue.

Will you receive that mark?
