We believe that their are some prophets we know about and others we don't right? But of course no prophets came after Prophet Muhamad (PBUH). I've been researching Budda (563?-483 B.C.) and honestly from an Islamic prospective, it seems that he was inspried with knowledge by Allah. His teaching seem truly Islamic, there is no way this guy just came up with this in his head. His life is too similar to other prophets that we know about, and its too truthful to be made up. Allah says in the bible and Quran that the believers medidate throughout the night and do good deeds. His teaching represents how Muslims who reach a higher peak in Islam think...Seriously.

What do you think? I know it sounds outlandish, but so does Muhammad being a prophet to others..... I am Muslim and read the Quran, but I also continue to search for knowledge. It increases my level of understanding of the Quran; Buddha just brought that up ten fold. Now I know Allah is unique and the Greatest.

Is there really anything ethicaly wrong with a married priest?
Would there not be a reduction in the sexual scandals if priests were allowed to marry? Christ is christ but humans are always vulnerable to the earthly desires and sins of the flesh. By marriage, one removes the temptations for physical sin.. God is a just god and would understand our effort to overcome sin.

Gender equality is undefined and suggests that the sexes are equal, they are not.

The intent is to promote equality under the law, or more precisely equitable treatment of all people.

That is if a person can do a job they should get the same pay, but more than that, if they do a better job they should get more pay, regardless of gender, or any other irrational factor, factors that don't influence the logic.

You must be careful we do discriminate against people, the blind cannot drive, the disable can't do certain things, but then again the able cannot do certain things if they can't do them.

Equality goes beyong logic to suggest that a husband and a wife, these two people are the same as two men, or two women, and this is where the logic is illogical. No man has ever given birth to a child and no woman has ever fathered a child.

So is the real term the equitable treatment of people and not the oversimplified confusing term of equality period ?

Because modern man lacks substance. Our educational system has dumbed down our youth's intellects, and the entertainment media have dumbed down our consciences and sense of value. Today's television sitcoms appear to have been written by third-year high school freshmen with hormonal problems. Most television programming by the four major networks are nothing more than expeditions into vanity. Some thrive on sexual innuendoes (or worse) and vulgarities. Not much is presented that would cause a person to think, "I want to be moral" or "I must come to know God better than I do."

Many of the Jews in the first century were just as stubborn and resistant to the Truth as the ACLU is today. Both possess an unreasoning, irrational, rabid hostility towards Christianity which promotes goodness, decency, ethical integrity, and lofty moral values. Churches cannot correct society's problems when our current culture is doing everything it can to stifle their influence.

GET YOUR RELIGION UNDER CONTROL! YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS PUSHING YOUR BELIEFS ON ANYONE-YOU CAN NOT PROVE YOUR GOD EXISTS AND THEREFORE YOU HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO PRESS YOUR VIEWS-IF JESUS WAS HERE, he isn't now, YOU HAVE NO AUTHORITY-it is time for The US to hold a vote as to WE THE PEOPLE-I do not want to see OPINION polls that I consider rampart with CHRISTIAN influence used to state the view of the people-WE NEED TO VOTE-but I believe it would be far better to HAVE IRAQ VOTE-DO YOU WANT THE US THERE? Bush has no authority-he was elected PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY NOT IRAQ! He is a dictator to that country but you are so blind you do not see his countrol is what THE WORLD is Fighting-and why-because he professes to be A CHRISTIAN-seperate CHURCH and STATE NOW-YOUR GOD IS A KING AND KINGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE US TO RULE-The world sees your stupidity as a vunerability-and you CHRISTIAN are killing MUSLIMs for Jews-based on a huge mistake WE THE PEOPLE made-Do you wonder why the world is P

I just read it and really, really enjoyed it. It isn't about religion necessarily although it does say the story told will "make you believe in God". But the wonderful part is that in the beginning Pi (a boy from India who by birth is Hindu) meets a priest and studies with him to become a Christian. Then he meets a Muslim teacher, obtains a prayer mat and prays with him every week. Then he meets a Hindu spiritual leader and prays with him every week.

When out in the market with his parents, Pi runs into all three of these men at the same time, each of them beaming with joy approach his clueless parents to tell them what a fine Christian/Hindu/Muslim boy he is. Everyone is angry until Pi tearfully blurts that Gandhi said, "All religions are true" and that he just wants to "love God" and what's wrong with that?

Everyone is struck mute because really what is there to say to that? Would anyone here be willing to study, love and practice several religions? It seems most would say no.

I have recently become very depressed because i found out that i have a meloncholic temperament. Meloncholics are said to be depressed, anxious, neurotic, homely, sickly, feeble and cowardly. I hate being labled by those words. I want so much to be a powerful choleric or a happy sanguine. I have been told that i have a moderate amount of choleric and a tiny bit of sanguine in me. Can someone please tell me how i can harness those powers so they are stronger then the meloncholy one. I don't want to go through life being a depressed, ugly, wimpy loser. I am really beginning to dislike myself because im meloncholic.

I’ve only been using Yahoo answers for a couple of days now but one thing I’ve noticed is that in matters of religious debate the Christian point of view is almost always very poorly represented. As an Agnostic in a otherwise Christian family I’ve had my share of religious discussions and I know that the Christian viewpoint can be articulated far better than what I’ve seen in these pages. Sometimes I feel like jumping in on the Pro-Christian side just to be fair. Lets hear from thoughtful Christians. Don’t make me come over there.

There is always an Atheist who is talking about why there could not be any mention of God in schools...Right? Then if an Atheist claims to not believe in any deity then Atheists have no religon. Then Atheism is not a religon and should be ignored by everyone else in the world. But if Atheism is a religon then it should be seperated from "State". It goes both ways. Atheist(no religon)=no efect...Atheist (religon)=seperation. No way out right? The truth is Atheism is a religon about no religon, which makes it a religon. A religon is a "belief" therefore if you "believe" that there is no deity then that is your religon. That does not always make sense because if I belived that beating people will take me to Heaven that would be my "belief" or religon. that would not make sense as well...right???Try to figure something out. Obviously I am Christian and in no way and Atheist. So go ahead and answer the question.
