all my life i was taught that God created earth and adam & eve, and from them came all of us. but as i got older, other thoeries were presented to me like "the bing bang theory" or how "monkeys evolved into cavemen". i hated so much to think that there could possible be another answer to how we came about. i want so much to believe in God, but then i see shows on the history channel about how Jesus never died and he went on to become a King in Europe and had children and so on and so forth. When my mother would tell me about God and Jesus i thought it was proven fact that they did exist and they were the reason for everything but then i see shows and read books about how they "think" Jesus didn't die. or they "think" he had children. I want 2 believ in only God but how can i if nobody even knows the real truth. it made me comfortable 2 know that there was one creator & that he loved us and cared for us and that one day, when we die, he'll B there for us.i hate 2 think that we're alone.

Matthew 5:17-18 says quite clearly that Jesus demands Christians follow Old Testament law completely, to the smallest possible point. Why don’t they?

5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
5:18 - For verily I say unto you, till haven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law till ALL be fulfilled.

The brotherhood is a cult of people WHO WORSHIP SATAN. He is very real and those who are in the cult do not want you to know this. They can summon demons(physically) and actually talk to lucifer himself. They will tell it's just a myth or joke it off. Make no mistake this is very real.

They cannot touch you or effect you if you accept jesus christ. If you are interested in how to fight this filthy cult LOOK UP SPIRITUAL WARFARE. I REBUKE THIS CULT IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

Is it a good representation of what Christianity should be (the end, when everyone's happy despite not following the stereotypical christian life), or is it total crap, and blaspheming, blah, blah, blah??

Personally I love the movie, and thought it was great, I just wanted a wide range of opinions.

Okay, now sit down now, boys and girls - it's story time! Shhhh.... Once upon a time, billions of years ago, there was nothing. Suddenly, magically, the nothing exploded into something. That something is called hydrogen. Can you say "hydrogen?" I knew you could. This hydrogen eventually cooled down enough to condense into solid rock. It was magic rock. Inert and lifeless, but still magical. And then, magically, water formed in the sky above the rock. The waters rained on the rock for, oh, let's say billions of years. Some of the rock broke down into minerals, and these minerals washed into a pool of water.
Then one day some of these minerals magically formed into a kind of goo in the pool of water. Can you say "goo?" I knew you could. Well do you know what happened then? That's right! The goo magically became ALIVE. So anyway, this bit of magic goo magically found something to eat. Then, magically, it found another bit of magic goo to marry, and they had a whole bunch of magical little goos. Eventually - millions of years later - some of this goo grew up into all the plants and animals in the world around us. If it's alive, it came from that first bit of magic goo! Well, more time went on. Finally some of this goo magically evolved - can you say "evolved?" I knew you could - some of this goo magically evolved upwards and upwards, growing ever more advanced, bigger, stronger, smarter, until it became a kind of magical hairless ape with thumbs.
And do you know who those apes are? That's right! They're YOU and ME! We are the magic rock apes! And you know what else? Someday we'll evolve enough that we'll become the God we all know doesn't exist. Now take a nap.

David Hume (1711-1776) proved that morality must be personal and subjective, not mind-independent and objective - i.e. it describes a person's response to an event or situation, rather than an objective property of that event or situation. That being so, there cannot be an external, objective source of morality, as theists often claim their deity to be. So, any god for whom being the source of morality is claimed as a necessary property, cannot exist.

Can you refute Hume, and prove that such a deity could in fact exist?

1. thou shall not kill__________why does the pope bless the troops before they go slaughter others?
2. Why do catholics believe that simply because they are baptized when they are infants that this grants them excess into heaven, no matter what horrible sins they committ in their lives?
3.Does a person become a priest because they can be a pedaphile and get away with it if they are caught?

I'm not trying to be rude or put down this faith, I just dont understand the Hypocrisy.

"A mind is like a parachute - it works best when it's open"

or

"A mind should not be so 'open' than any old rubbish can fall in"

I thought this would be the interesting forum to ask in because it's where I hang out most, and because the phrase "open-minded" seems to crop up here more than elsewhere. All interesting points of view valued and appreciated.

not looking fo ra recap on the story. What I am looking for is what I am not understanding, why was Cain's offering not as favored as Abel's? I understand everything afterwards, but why was Cain's offering of fruits from the field, when that is what he did, work the ground, not as favorable as Abel's offering of fat from some first born, as he was a shepherd, thats what he handled, the animals in the field. Help me understand this my christian brothers or sisters. Even if your not Christian and have a take on this, please reply.

Has anyone actualy EXPERIENCED first-hand with "black magic".. like asked for something to be done and it was actually done on your behalf? Are sites like these just bogus?

I'm not asking whether you believe it or not, I want to know if you've experienced with it, either yourself or with a spell caster doing a service on your behalf.

I'm just curious..thanks :)

Jesus said rich men don’t go to Heaven easily and even implied that it wasn’t possible. Why are so many people with money and property Christian if they are probably going to Hell?

This is in response to another question. Would you rather have someone preaching to you, or have someone informing you of their beliefs, and teaching you about what they believe and why.

I ask because some people see them as one and the same. I feel that preaching (especially in a forum like this, or on a one-on-one basis implies a level of judgement on the preacher's part).

Opinions?
