Is it a good representation of what Christianity should be (the end, when everyone's happy despite not following the stereotypical christian life), or is it total crap, and blaspheming, blah, blah, blah??

Personally I love the movie, and thought it was great, I just wanted a wide range of opinions.

Ideals aside, it's really not a major exaggeration of the growing-up-Christian life. Besides the really crazy stuff (nobody ever dropped a fifty-foot-tall-Jesus), many of the interaction bits and storylines were things I saw and experienced during my teenage years in the church. I highly appreciated it--definitely a movie made by someone who's been there.

OMG I was laughing so hard I busted a gut when Mandy Moore tried to give an "Exorcism" to her friend ... then the cute guy said, "She tried to Exercise you? That's nice, ah, I suppose".

I've never meet anyone as fanatical as the character Many Moore played ... but it was real funny, and I did think it dramatically (supped up teen drama) layed out how some Christan's deal with stuff. Well, I never saw a place they ship "Bad Christians" too like the gay dude from the begging ... but I have heard rumors of such places.

I loved how the movie showed that the adults too were strugging to find & follow their faith. No matter what stage in life we're at ... there is always challenges we face with following Christ. "Saved" did a good job at keeping the dignaty of parents while showing they too struggle.

In the end, yeah, we still hold that Jesus loves us despite all the sins, stupid stuff we do. Doesn't mean we'll go unpunished ... just that we're loved.

I'm a Christian (just not of the same born-again variety depicted in that movie).

But I thought it was good to show that everyone has issues, and that's okay, I mean that's what religion is for, they're not for perfect people to get together and pat themselves on the back for being so perfect, they're to help us be better, and improve ourselves together. .
