I have recently become very depressed because i found out that i have a meloncholic temperament. Meloncholics are said to be depressed, anxious, neurotic, homely, sickly, feeble and cowardly. I hate being labled by those words. I want so much to be a powerful choleric or a happy sanguine. I have been told that i have a moderate amount of choleric and a tiny bit of sanguine in me. Can someone please tell me how i can harness those powers so they are stronger then the meloncholy one. I don't want to go through life being a depressed, ugly, wimpy loser. I am really beginning to dislike myself because im meloncholic.

That's just it, don't you see? The cycle of melancholy repeats itself in your question. Just imagine how hard it will be to break in your actual life.

I think you need to drink a large amound of choleric acid to cleanse the melancholy from your system.

Maybe you have gotten to much into psychology and should try God's Word. The Bible doesn't present people as depressed etc, but states principles that apply to all people if they follow God's directions for them. We can all know the joy of the Lord, and the peace that passeth understanding, and God has a plan and purpose for each of His children that will bring satisfaction and joy.

Jesus can heal you. Please, I'm not trying to be a cliche or preach to you. But He is God, and God can reach into and transform you. I used to be fearful and depressed, He healed me, He put my feet on a rock, He has given me a life of peace and joy.

The way to "harness" power is to submit your life and give yourself to Jesus Christ, to lay down everything that you have and that you are at the foot of the cross, and let Him work within you. I pray to God that He show you the truth, the life and the way, and I ask this in Jesus' name.

Yes, prayer can change many things include temperament.Don't get yourself type cast by those books on psychology. Pray and react to issues naturally and stop being negative about yourself.
