Has anyone else noticed that most of the world is run based on a non-theistic worldview? We develop and refine treatments for diseases based on the knowledge that they are mutating, evolving organisms. We study geology and search for oil using principles predicated on the earth being billions of years old, not thousands. We study with great interest the artifacts and writings of cultures that were thriving thousands of years ago, at a time when they were supposedly being completely wiped out during a worldwide Deluge. Though we hear time and again how the vast majority of human species holds some form or other of religious belief, the engine that powers the world and moves it forward runs on science, skepticism, and a complete disregard for the self-proclaimed "truths" of scripture.

My son is 17yrs. old and Mormon. I am a non practicing Mormon, He feels that because I left the Church/Mormon Religion, that after we die he will never see me again. He is very, very distraught and very serious about this belief. I am a Christian and attend A Calvary Four Square Church. So I do believe in God. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to handle this delicate matter?

I have rejected Islam, and now my penis seems to be shrinking by about 1/2 cm every day. Today I went to go pee and it had crawled up inside my body cavity like a turtle pulling his head into his shell. I'm circumcised, but you can't tell by looking at it! I had to pinch the head and pull really hard for about 20 seconds to get enough length to keep the urine stream from spraying in random directions.

Have my truthful revelations regarding Islam caused many Muslims to seek hateful revenge and cast an evil curse on me? If my Johnson gets much shorter it will be an INNIE! This is wreaking havoc on my love life! I love a bimbo named Sherzade, but I know she won't marry me if her clit is bigger than my schwampus!

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

What I mean is.. People that choose to believe in the bible/scriptures and faith Vs people that choose to believe in Christianity/Church. The "people that choose to believe in the bible/scriptures and faith" do not clam to be in any type of religion. While "people that choose to believe in Christianity/Church" clam religion and church. That is the best idea I can come up with.

People who are closed up to Christianity-think people are crazy for talking to God, reading the Bible, etc, cannot really understand truly and deeply because they are not open to it. They aren't open to it for many reasons-they don't believe in something they can't "see," they are already a part of another faith/philosophy/way of life, etc. that isn't consistent with the Christian faith. They have already chosen another path. And you know what? That's okay...It is not our job as Christians to convert anyone or force our beliefs on them. I know we are supposed to "go into the world and preach the gospel" but there are different ways of "preaching." I think we should set the example first, not judge, and listen.

All addictions get 'old', they dont Always satisfy you. drugs, alcohol, overeating, Whatever. do you agree with the bible on this, cuz the Bible said it first. 'Have no other god's before me.' and addictions or whatever you put first that is 'sinful' according to the bible, will not keep you happy. what do you think about that?

In the US we have seen a lot of controversy over the teaching of evolution, sparked by the beliefs of fundementalist christians. Is this an issue in other countries with different religious beliefs? What do those of you with different religions think about this subject?

It most certainly promotes freedom from self responsibility.
It encourages the sanctimonious, self loathing that so many seem to need to feel superior.
It promotes the delusion that it's followers are the only ones who know the real "truth".
It teaches that there are superior paths that will lead you to heaven and bliss, and inferior paths that lead only to deception and destruction neither of which is focused on a personal relationship with it's deity.
It uses dogma to replace having a code of personal ethics that applies to every interaction in every aspect of life.
It advocates being good now, and being rewarded later because it crushes out all of the natural impulses of life therefore creating a sense of martyrdom.

Consider reading this slowly so it sinks in before responding:

We all live on the Earth, which is a planet in a (now) 8-planet solar system.

The sun resides in the Milky Way galaxy. Our galaxy contains 200,000,000,000 - to - 400,000,000,000 (200 billion - to - 400 billion) stars, of which our sun is only one. (For comparison, there are approximately 6.5 billion people alive on the Earth, of which you are only one.)

Additionally, there are approximately 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) galaxies in the observeable universe. The average galaxy appears to contain between 10,000,000 and 1,000,000,000,000,000 (between 10 million and 1 trillion) stars.

What relevance would your faith have to the statistically likely population of a planet that circles one of those stars held in one of those galaxies in our observeable universe? What parts of the message (from your prophet, savior, sacred texts, etc.) would do you believe would matter to those other beings?
