What I mean is.. People that choose to believe in the bible/scriptures and faith Vs people that choose to believe in Christianity/Church. The "people that choose to believe in the bible/scriptures and faith" do not clam to be in any type of religion. While "people that choose to believe in Christianity/Church" clam religion and church. That is the best idea I can come up with.

I think what you're asking is what is the difference between religion and faith.
Religion was created by "man." Faith was given by "God."
The two are NOT the same considering what the Bible teaches and what we perceive religion to be. Consider what the church teaches and what the Bible says about it. The best example I can come up with is Christmas and Easter. Originally Christmas WAS NOT celebrated in this country, neither was Easter as they were considered "Pagan." Next, how do we explain Christmas? Where does that little elf in a red suit come from and how do we equate him to the birth of Christ? We perpetrate a "LIE" on our children by telling them about Santa Claus, NO he does NOT exist in the manner American children are taught. The Easter Bunny(?) delivers eggs, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Purely Roman paganism. So why do we "LIE" to our children about them? Most religions support the lie. The Bible does NOT.

You ask a good question and I'll try to give you the best answer from my stand point as a Christian and Bible believer. First of all Christianity is the Faith or Religion that is based out of and comes through or from the Bible mainly the New Testament and the history and life of Jesus as we strive to live by His example. Second you cannot separate the two. Third there's a reason we say we follow the Bible and associate with it more then just a church or a religion because to us who are "true" Christians it's a Faith not a religion and it's about a relationship with God by the way of His Son Jesus who died for the sins of all saving us all (mankind) from the results of sin death and Hell and giving us (the followers and believers in Christ and those who choose to believe even those who don't but will one day) the way to the Father through Christ. I pray for your eyes, heart, and mind to be opened to that and for God to reveal the truth His truth from the Bible to you. God bless.

Christianity is (or should be!) based on the Bible. There is (or should be) no difference.
To be true Christians we must learn what Jesus is teaching, ALL of it, not just what seems "acceptable" and easy and maybe "logical".
We must follow his teachings ("in His footsteps") and apply them in our lives.
What does Jesus teach (from the Bible, Old Testament) again and again and again? We must WANT to act out of compassion: 1. to love God with all our being and above all things and 2. to love (be kind to) ALL our fellow human beings, even those who don't agree with us or those we don't agree with.
Jesus says those two are the "first and foremost commandments" and are the basis of THE LAW. Any other laws or interpretations of laws that don't align with those two basic laws are invalid.
Just imagine! If all humans would willingly (not because they have been told) act out of compassion toward the "others" there truly would be peace on Earth! Unfortunately we are not perfect and to bear "our cross" often seems too hard (or illogical, or "unscientific). - No, I'm not perfect either!
That's why we have to learn to be honest to ourselves and admit that we have failed, again and again and again, and resolve to (at least try to) do better next time!
Because WE are not perfect we also have to forgive others for offences they may have committed against us.
We can then ask for forgiveness and get "peace of mind" - until the next time.
As someone put it: " Love (as in compassion and forgiveness) is the answer - whatever the question".

The difference is simply what people choose to believe. That's all. Many people don't belong to a church because some churches don't preach from the bible.

Christianity is a broad spectrum title for the religions which follow some variation of the Christ's teachings. Can encompass vast and varying degrees of scripture and man-made doctrine. Catholic, Baptist, Protestants of all sorts are Christian. The thing is, not all of them follow stricly the bible. In fact most of them have a man-interpreted slant on what Jesus had to say.

I think you are talking about the difference between people who believe that their salvation comes through Christ (John 14:6); and people who believe their salvation comes through going to church 'religiously' and being good people .
I've had that discussion quite a few times with my grandmother!

To me there is no difference. The Bible is the word of God, HIS, letters & message to His followers. To believe in Christ is to believe in His word the Bible.

Christian = To be Christ like.
The bible is the word of God. You can believe in the bible but that doesn't mean your Christ like. The Devil believes in the Bible.
You can believe in the golden rule but that doesn't mean you follow it.
