We have the choice to be one with God expressing Itself. Quantum physics does move in this direction.

Surprisingly enough, this is pretty much what Qabbalah teaches as well.
In the non-time before beginning, that which is before God was Nothingness ('Ayin', or the nothingness so total that to say 'it is nothing' is to make it something, for true nothingness cannot be defined). From this Nothingness which had all potential came the Divine. The Divine filled all but the Nothingness from which it came, for nothing is stronger than Ayin.
The Divine said, Let us create, and was moved, because there was no place to create. So the Divine withdrew itself from itself, leaving the first true void. Into this void the Divine eminated the Adam Kadmon, the first Light. As the Light filtered down lower and lower, the Light shattered, the Tzit-tzum, as nothing but the Divine itself could contain the Divine. The highest shattering was the Divine realms, the Heavens and the Earths and the Hells. Below were the Angels, still shattered vessels, but close to the original source of Adam Kadmon. Eventually, when it reached the final place, the energy could be no weaker, and in this, the Malkuth, the physical realm, is formed.
All of existence is the effort of all the Divine shards to be reunited and return, and none shall be lost in the end.
Funny enough, this describes fairly well the brane theory of cosmology which asserts infinite eternal existence. Nothingness giving rise to the Divine, the Divine withdrawing from itself, the Divine eminating into the void, the shattering of the Divine, and the return of the Divine to the source.

Yes, I realized that in order for him to see me in his image I must be Holy without spot or wrinkle. No flesh or sin shall glory in my eyesight.
