No, because atheists don't go around like maniacs (sound familiar?) preaching their non belief in a higher power, which is the true definition of blasphemy.

The true definition is to display beliefs other than Christianity. Because the United States has separation of church and state, such a law would be a frivolous waste of time.

I shall leave that to the canonical police to be formed from enacting such strict blasphemy laws to ' rat' them out.

Of course any christian would. They'll sign on with anything, no matter how morally repugnant, if they think they're getting something out of the deal with the devil.

But of course, most don't think about the consequences of their actions; if the religious reich in the US had succeeded in Iraq and Afghanistan and made atheism illegal, sooner or later that fundy christianazi majority would turn on the catholics, mormons, jews and anybody else who didn't belong to them.

I don't think that would ever happen, but I'm thinking you're asking a hypothetical Q here- so no, I would not rat them out. Although I disagree with atheists and they often attack my beliefs, I respect their right to believe as they choose.

Aparantly, you do not comprehend the fact that this country, thank GOD, is not a theocracy. There is no "law" "they" could enact that would be binding upon anyone other than followers of that religion. Last I checked, this nation allows people of any or no faith to practice as they see fit.

Your questions seem to imply that atheists have no self control and would be unable to stop themselves from taking the Lord's name in vain. I imagine most of us would be able to resist the temptation if it meant staying alive and out of jail...at least until we got the laws changed.

they couldn't have strict blasphemy laws, people would laugh at them, today's society has changed, adleast in North America, and just for the sake of purpose, if "they" ever did get strict, I would support the athiests, no religion is the right religion, all should be accepted....didn't jesus sit with pimps prosties, tax collectors, and theives

NO, I would ask them brown eggs or white eggs which taste better to you? And then I would ask what does and atheist taste like? And if they didnt know, then I would say then how can you judge what tastes better?

(Assuming you're in the United States...)

I'd shoot whoever "they" was. It'd be a patriotic act to do so. A duty, in fact.
