There are times when I just don't feel like I belong here. That I am taking up space that someone smarter or faster or prettier could be using. Life can be so hard sometimes. Why would it be wrong if I chose not to be here anymore?

I am Southern Baptist, and I mentioned to a family member that I was invited to go to the Church of Christ w/ a friend on Sunday to visit her church, and have lunch afterwards, and they had a fit, and even called me back and told me how upset they were that I was going??

( I told them that isn't it better then not going to church at all? and "they" said, " Well,

"I just do not believe that the Lord would turn his back on us..like the CoC does. "He" said that they feel that once they leave the church and come back that they have to be saved again@@@!!!
Is this true?
Please tell me..so I can understand why they were so upset.

People are people, they do good and do bad. a true christan, or muslim, hatred is not of God, or Alleh. people who use reglion for there own selfish needs, hatered, selfishness, greed, theses things are not of god, for god is love. and will give you the desires of your heart. a man can not serve two masters, and someone that is of God, or Alleh you will know. not be afraid to do good and turn from evil.

The idea of fade to black and some bug that talks like and looks like Woody Allen making a meal of me is freaky. Whats freakier is people who know NOTHING at all about afterlife declaring it isnt there...isnt that telling us something ? isnt it literally insane to trust the words of a bug lover than the Son of God who rose from the dead and made billions of miracles since then ? No atheist has died and come back and said " hey...theres only bug food 401K plans down there.." but what about the guy who went and returned ? Who should I trust ??? ummmmmmmmmmm...gee this is a toughie.....

Do you actually believe in God? I consider myself as a Jew, but I don't really know if God exists. For me, Judaism is more of a culture and a community. I'm proud of our history and I'm proud to be Jewish. I just don't know if God exists because there is no proof.

I don't think so. Maybe cars offend me because they hurt the atomsphere so we shouldn't drive cars here. Do you know how many Hindu people are offended by you eating beef? Do you care? Maybe I'm offended by heterosexual marriages because I abstain (hypothetically).

On top of that no one is forcing you to get married to some one of the same sex. And no one would force a preacher who didn't like it to get them married, that would be oppression of religion, which sucks.

Some people say it doesn't bring anything to society. Do Cheetos bring anything to society? What? Not only do they not contribute to society, they can make you obese in excess!? We have to make Cheetos illegal. Think things through here. And to be honest the world is already overpopulated and we can't just make new land, people have to live somewhere on Earth at least for the nest many 100 years.

I won't even get into seperation of Church and State, not official enough and is too much of a gray area.

Why is his will being done in heaven and on earth?
Is he not also saying his father is in heaven....meaning his god? (our father who art in heaven)

1. Do you believe in dreams?
2. Do you believe people that have died can come to you in a dream?
3. Do you believe what they say to be true?

I am asking this because I know a lot of people will say yes to those until they read why I asked and then all of a sudden they will say no.

My uncle came to me in a dream and told me not to doubt that God is real because he was in Heaven right now. I asked him if it was beautiful and he said he wouldn't tell me, I would have to wait and find out when I got there. Which is a typical answer from him.
( This was just a short version that I have given you.)
I think I had this dream and he really came to me because at that point in my life I was really struggling and he was someone who I would always go to for answers, so God had him answer me in my dream.

So, how many of you changed your answer when you read the rest of what I said? And now just think it was wishful thinking or my imagination?
I believe God works in wonderful ways.

I was born and raised to be a Christian. I'm not religious anymore, but I still get aggrivated when I see some athlete "Give Glory To God" when they win a game, make a touchdown, say that they will win the game if it's God's will. Or a recording artist winning an award and thanking God for a song having nothing to do with God or religion at all. Or an actor winning an award for a movie that did the same thing. If famous are going to profess their love and gratitude towards God, shouldn't they set an example for other christians and christians to come. It's like they have no concept of their religion at all. And really looks like they are trying to score brownie points to get more fans. I know what being a christian is all about. I used to be one. WWJD. Try to do your best to be christ-like. In my pre-teens I started studies to eventually become a preacher.

There are people here today who claim to be prophets & write books. Different religions have different books they follow. What make the bible so special or exact? The authors could have been anyone. What's their credibility? I don't get it. Too mush hatred (against homosexuals) and crazy rules for me. This is an old book. Years ago we were slaves and could'nt vote. Does that mean we should live that way today? No. Times change. People change. Laws Change. Why do you follow such outrageous rules of yesteryear? I believe there are many religions but only ONE GOD. A loving God who created homosexuals just like Heterosexuals. He even created hermerphadites. Can they help who they are? Could you change your sexuality? You can't. I just try to be loving, honest & true. Sometimes Christians can be the most hateful people of all especially in judging homosexuality. Saying they're going to hell. Judge ye not. That's why for now I am in search of a religion that's not based on the bible.

I just read atheists answering a question about " at death then..what happens ? ". It was so so spooky and scary..all that " well, at death..its just worm food time, the shows over...etc ". Doesnt it give you the creeps to think that what we are all headed for is , " Poinkk!! Fade to black...and then nothing but that big test pattern in the hole ? "...Not even Billy Mays selling those mops in your head....just a big blank screen with that little white dot in the middle and whammoooo!!! Death...the dusty dark screen.. Isnt it freaky to think that life is like the end of a meal and your last thing you hear is, " waiter...check plz ... " then....bbbwapppp! ??? Just blackness and the the bugs move in on ur body ? Shouldn't Christians only be concerned with the New Testament? To me, the OT is a very negative and angry read. Aside from a few vague predicitons of a saviour, what good does the OT serve in these modern times?

Moreover, since the OT is the mainstay of Judaism (and they do not believe Jesus is the Saviour), why do Jews allow Christians to consciencely misinterpret their holy text?

Why aren't Jews and Christians at war with eachother?
