There is a verse in the bible that says, God's law is perfect, converting the soul. In my ten years of bible study, I have come to realize both are true. He is perfect, and His ways are as well. His word has converted my soul. My life has been changed over and over by the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
In my ladies' bible study at church, we take one book from the new testament and study it, in lesson and discussion form. I've been doing that for ten years now...each year has been more incredible and life changing than the next. My life is full of peace, joy, order. God has given me wisdom and assurance.
"He who has begun a good work in you, will see it through to completion in Jesus Christ". Phil 1:6.

I love that the Bible is God's word to us, a love letter of sorts. I have a few favorite verses; "The Truth Will Make You Free" (on my iPod!!!), is one I hold dear because it is so true in any circumstance including the most important one...knowing God is knowing the TRUTH and that sets you free.

Leviticus is a laugh riot. Although Revelation 16:4 is fun too.

I love the fact people are innocent to the fact that the bible proves itself wrong, over and over again. It's obvious priests deny this.
