For sure. If I would let God order my steps I would be at peace with the outcomes instead of having any guilt or doubt in the chooses that I made.

I know for sure that He has done a better job with my life then I did. I could attain all kinds of fortune and fame, but I couldn't maintain nothing. Not until I decided for the last time to turn my life over to God for real, did things really change. It is also important to note, that the directions say completely. That means you don't get to keep any of your old nature, good bad or indifferent. It all has to go, so God can put the mind in you that was intended for humans, before the fall. It is the mind of Christ, and the same mind that is the creative aspect of the Godhead. If that mind can't do a better job then the mind of any man without God, then I haven't seen it yet. Attain yes, man can attain, but maintain, nope sorry, not without the creator, won't work for very long. Without God's mind you will become disillusioned and go looking for something else to attain without the ability to maintain.

I know that I am better off because I let God directs "most of my steps. Sometimes I hear him or feel a nudge in the other direction but I choose my own way. Got to get better about that.

I am better off because I DO allow God to direct my life. I have seen Him work and I seek His will daily and ask for guidance. Why would I want to do it my way, living a half life, I'd rather do it God's way and get the best!

This is kind of an interesting question, so good one to you. The reason being that those who do not believe in God are almost mocking the question, as they believe that they are doing fine in this life all by themselves. And those of us who know that God is with us and helping us daily praise the fact that life is better with God in our lives. The two extremes. Once again good question. You got me thinking about it. And my official answer is we are all better with God in our lives just for the fact that we would not be here at all if were not for God in our lives. Have a blessed day.

Yes.
My belief is, we are here all to learn, and to improve the quality of our soul. In life, whenever you are faced with extreme difficulties, these are in fact situations where you really learn to go through and deal with it, to be a better person. These situations may be what GOD put you through too, maybe as a test of your faith towards him, and lessons he intended for you to learn.
Probably it is not enough to go throught just the theory aspect of life -- GOD needs to give you practical hands-on, whereby you apply the theory you have learnt so far, and with the intelligence GOD has given, you have to consult him from time to time, like a check-point.
Good day to you.

Most certainly!!!!
I have allowed God to direct my steps for almost 37 years now.
He is faithful God. I would have made a mess of things if I had tried to do things my way.

Definitely. I know this from having done both the letting, and the not... Think about it, He knows the future, and He knows what is best for us. I have prayed for this or that to happen, only to look back later, and thank Him for not saying yes to that one. Or like Garth says..." Sometimes I thank God-- for unanswered prayers..."
This doesn't mean that He wants us to sit around and wait on a lightning bolt to strike, before we do anything. He wants us to use the talents that He gave us, and then if that lightening bolt comes, He will empower us to do what He asks... I am learning (and it has taken a long time - ) to pray "Not my will, but yours." (No, I don't do it all the time, in fact, not nearly enough.) May you enjoy the blessings of "growing up into Him..." And know the closeness of walking where He has walked. (If you stay close to Him, you can still feel the warmth of where His foot just was... You know what I mean...)
UPDATE: About what the Brenda's World person said: I looked up Isaiah 13:15-18, and God did not command anyone to rape anyone else. Just because it is known that a thing will happen, and someone tries to warn you that it will happen, doesn't mean that that same someone wanted it to happen. Same in Noah's day, he warned them repeatedly, but no one would listen, like B.W. they went on their merry way, making fun of God, and of Noah. Well, science has proved that the flood happened, so I guess that someday "she" will also see the light, lets pray that it will be before its too late.
I really get tired of people trying to explain the Bible, when they don't try to understand the verses that they try to use to prove their point. I wish they would read the who thing and put it into context. I also wish they would come to know the Father for the kind wonderful person He is, the one who wanted fellowship with Adam and Eve, they are the ones who screwed it up, and then he provides a way for them to get rid of the unwanted guilt, again, man refuses and rejects, so He comes up with a "once and for all" plan, and still, people reject Him and His Son. Aaaahhh, well, at least He tried. He still loves them, and as for us, I believe that the Bible talks about the blessings that will be on the ones who walk in His footsteps. (That isn't a quote, just the general idea...) So, keep following and decide for yourself. But take this advice from someone who has been following Him for a long time -- make sure it is His voice you hear-- verify by the Bible, because sometimes I thought He was telling me to do something, and it was just me, or what I thought everyone around me wanted. But if you seek Him, you will find Him and will come to recognized His voice. Look up 1Kings 19: 11-13.

What God are you talking about?
You have to work to eat, that in itself tells you there is no god, because all the animals on this planet works to eat, just not very day and they have no bills to worry about, oh ya we humans have plenty of cool stuff but stop paying for electricity and see how fast it get hot, dam the a/c is great as long as I have a job and can afford it.
Boy are we suckers or what, and to think we are so cruel we are to happy to bring a baby to this hell hole we call civilization

Psa 37:23 The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Based on the above, my answer is YES! Obedience to God is paramount to living a happy life - and receiving a wonderful reward when this journey is over!
Jesus Christ is Lord!
