Wouldn't it have been much easier if He gave us (besides free will) just one simple extra brain-cell in order to make us all understand the Bible in the same way ??

Or an "accept Jesus as your savior-brain-cell" ?

since he didn't do that : Do you truly believe that God will be so narrow-minded to only accept the people in Heaven that understand the messages in His book exactly like He was trying to tell it to us, in His book that has about 10.000 sentences is it that can be explained in at least 5 ways each?

You must be sincere with your confession if you want absolution from Yahoo Answers. Start by saying, "forgive me Yahoo Answers for I have sinned" and then confess your sin to all of us. We will judge whether you are sincere with you confession or not.

Why confess to a priest if you truly believe, accept and love god, isn't he all forgiving? Will he not forgive your sins because he can see in your heart?

Light travels at the speed of 186,000 miles per second, right? and travels through a vacuum, from the sun to earth for example..so what is it? For example, sound waves are easier to figure out...

1Timothy 6:16 (God) dwells in unapproachable light..(for humans apparently) James 1:17b..from the Father of the celestial lights. Any ideas on how Light rays travel?

Any scientist christians or any who know?

I asked for a transfer.People who did not ask for a transfer were transferred.I suspect I was blackballed. For months I prayed before I asked for the transfer. Then after I applied I prayed, read my Bible, fasted, praised etc.I have submitted myself to God's will and told Him I will go wherever He sends me.I met the person responsible for transfers and spoke with him.He told me I would know by the end of the week(June 30).The person he said he would inform said he got no information. I am on 'vacation' and still do not know.I cannot understand why this person would lie to me.As for God, I told God I would go where he sent, even to locale X. I waited for a friend and this delay enable me to see the person responsible for transfer.During a Q&A session, he mentioned that locale X needed someone. After the meeting he told me to visit him.I did and he seemed satisfied with what I had to say. Am I impatient or is this delay the hand of God at work?I need an answer.

25 When the man saw that he could not gain the advantage over Jacob, he touched his hip socket; that put Jacob' s hip out of joint as he wrestled with him. 26 Then he said, "Let me go, for day is breaking." But Jacob said, "I will not let you go, unless you bless me." 27 And he said to him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Jacob." 28 Then he said, "Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but instead Israel, for you have wrestled with Elohim and with men, and have prevailed." (Genesis 32:25-28)

some may say this wasnt god but an angel that jacob wrestled with but Elohim refers to the god of the isrealites many times in the bible, and the name he gives to Jacob (Israel) means "wrestles with God."

So what gives?

So Jesus was Jehovah ?
what would be the purpose of GOd himself coming down to save humanity when it was two humans who messed it up?
If Jesus was God then was He still human? can God really be a human?
This is a serious question I'm not being sarcastic

I know about the nothing. I know. I'm somehow alive. Why is it not God's will for us to know everything? I'm half way there. I know the other half. But why? Why all this? Why this gift? Why has it become a curse? Why? Why? Why? Death to those who question more than they already know.

In your own opinion? See 1 Kings 19:4 in the Bible for an example of what he was feeling, but I'd like to hear people's opinion on what a living prophet would have to learn from people who would not change even when faced with very obvious signs.

Atheists have atheism and theist have theism. Both accuse the other that their belief system is causing them to be law-breakers, yet both are generally law-abiding. How come? Is it something beyond atheism and theism that makes them law-abiding?

Heaven? Hell?

One argument which I sometimes think about is if there is no afterlife, try to imagine ending. It is impossible to imagine never existing again, and you must wake up sometime.

Another may be that it is better to live without fear of an afterlife which may be on Heaven, may be in Hell, so it is better to not believe.

Last night I was meditating with my eyes closed and thinking about the blessings of the Lord.I found myself in place X travelling along a road. After a while the depth and perspective (art term) of looking ahead at the distance made the road look like a tunnel; but in reality it was still a road. I found myself at placeY which was like a cliff jutting over the sea(promontory?) and the water was calm with different hues of blue.Three names- Edith, Pearl and Sharon- were given.I saw no houses but was told the locale was quaint.I was involved in a debate as to whether locale X was on a higher elevation than locale Z.Either Z or X is the capital.I have to research it. I saw surf or clear water with foam on the road but it was not deep- just like a splash and the sea rolling in..Locale X and Z really exist but I have never visited that area. Was I imagining all of this or is God saying something to me?How would I know for sure? I pray daily- two or more times, meditate and read my Bible..

For example, if I ask you "Is it true that most Christians love to mow their lawns?" probably about 75% of you will answer the question as if I asked it seriously. So, what about it? Do you Christians like to mow your lawns more than anyone else?
