A Catholic friend of mine told me recently of the reason she converted. As a child she has to go to church to confess before she goes to school.
She was from a well off family and the only child.
Confessing means she has done something wrong but she often had to lie to the FATHER to make the confession worthwhile going for, till finally the FATHER realised there was something wrong when she asked for his forgivness as she hit her little sister ( She was the only child )..!
When asked by her mother why? I have to lie to finish off my confession to got to school and she has already run out of excuses ( material ) of confessions to tell the FATHER. This is a true story.

Ie look at say bios or Arnie and how wonderful he was and other stars... exagerated and missing the bad bits... with some historical parts added, part true but not fully...


Then the bible... whats the difference especailly as in those days they did not understand natural disaster and prob thought CPR was a miracle.

Ever since I was a little kid. I always daydreamed. I would look up into the sun and just wander. I would listen to the birds chirping and the quietness of outside, listen to the breeze of the wind slowly blow through the day and just let my mind drift. I would be so in tuned with nature I felt real good like a very relaxed lazy state. There were times I would reminisce over old stuff or just imagine myself in a place or as a position in life. Anybody know why people daydream?

the bible says the world is about 5000 years old. carbon dating by real educated scientists prove bones and earthly remains of 135 million years or more. if we can ignore scientific facts in the name of god and blind faith, is it a wonder that people can even kill innocents as long as they believe it is for their god. 9/11 some mormons impregnate very young girls in the name of god. some christians kill abortion doctors, in the name of god. look at the jews and muslims in the gaza strip. Its their god given right to kill each other. we as americans arent that bad usually. we just raise, slaughter, and eat animals, use up all the earths natural, non-renewable resources, and beg money from poor people to build churches of marble and gold, IN THE NAME OF GOD. see how silly this is. we used to think the sun was a god and the world was flat. jerrysizzler420@yahoo.com please tell me why believing in a spirit in the sky has merit. I don't have much of a structure, I just choose a book, and read it. I have all these reading plans, but I'd rather just read a book fully.
I am reading Psalms now, and I just finished reading Matthew and most of Mark. I used to just read verses.

A muslim friend tells me that very soon the whole world will be muslim. He says that the islamic flag will fly over the white house, knesset, 10 downing street and over parliament house in canberra. I in turn told him that the way muslims are blowing each other up that very soon there wont be any muslims left on earth let alone to take over the world. Am i right?
( yesterday a suicide bomber blew himself up with 70 of his fellow muslim mates)

I saw the new Superman movie earlier today.

After pondering his greatness and nobility for a bit, I asked myself that if the world was forced to choose between renouncing their religions, and in turn he would be our hero and help us with all of our problems, or not sacrificing our beliefs and he wouldn't do a damn thing, I came to the instant conclusion that people wouldn't renounce their religions.

It really shows you how BACKWARDS people are.

Hmmm, lets all continue to believe in outdated moral dogma rather than have a real savior of flesh and blood, who's glorious actions and deeds are plainly visible.
Forget about the marvelous prosperity we could attain from one man, and instead focus on ancient doctrine and records that essentially do nothing for us.

What choice would you folks make? Please be PRACTICAL in your reasoning...I know thats a lot to ask but, c'mon, try...please.

Well I heard from some that it is because since lookin at another women lustfully is adultry at heart so is killing in games murdering at heart... Can someone guide me.. I kept goin back n' forth at first I was like Video games arn't a sin then its a yea then its no and now im stuck agian..
