as in, why do rites and rituals have more importance than true spiritual growth and happiness? why do people think that their own religion is the only way to get there and others are wrong?

I'm finding it really hard to come across a plain and simple 'non-run-around' answer. I know from readings that Satan rebelled because he thought he should be loved (or something along those lines...?) but I can't find any reference in the bible of this reasoning. Any help???

Its true! Christians say that only Christians go to Heaven, Muslims say only Muslims go there. Catholics, Jews, etc etc say the same.

Why? I believe God loves all of us regardless of religion and its not about which faith you belong to, but rather the condition of your heart and how you live your life. So why do people insist on believing God cares only about people of their own religion?

I do voluntary work for a homeless shelter and also go out at night to feed the homeless. About 8 months ago this guy, Chris about 30 appeared one night and offered to help. We had a client, Tony who was very close to death from AIDS. Chris spent hours praying beside him and said he would recover and he did. He also quieted down a violently schizophrenic man who had been shouting for hours by just touching him. Another night we went out delivering food to homeless haunts. Demand was heavy and we ran out. Chris prayed and then the containers were filled with very high quality food. These are only a few examples of a great number of unexplanable events that happened when he was around. Chris was strange his eyes seemed to go on for ever internally. He seemed not to know much about the world or modern life yet was obviously intelligent. He usually would not answer questions but one time I asked what he was doing and he said it was time he returned. Can You explain this.

Every one now seems to know that Bible was edited through out the ages, some areas were either deleted, changed, or something is added to it.

But Is God's Words Supposed to be changed in order to certify youselves? Since God knows better than we know, because He is the One that Create our Brains, and knows the extent we can think. And another Question, Where is the real, non edited, non changed bible?

The creator wanted us to call on him by name, he was very specific about that. Why is it not in his book correctly? From what I understand it was something done by his own people.!? Why doo so many people go on calling him by a title, a title that belongs to someone else?

How's that Mr. Finch? God will allow this because he has given those people unlimited chances to live according to his word and be the man or woman he desires them to be. God is loving and longsuffereing, however that will all eventually run out. People are too wrapped up and content living in sin versus righteousness. Did you know this and whats ur opinion ?...The New testament was spoken in hebrew and the greek we have is a mere copy. Then we have the problem in translation from hebrew to english and much is lost. My jewish father has taught me the Old Testament in the hebrew all my life...and now the New..there isnt one contradiction in the hebrew at all..not one. He is God. Dont you think he can write a book? He made us and all around us what we see. A bible didnt even make Him break into a sweat. In the middle east we know...HE is the Word made flesh...He is complete and he is ours. We havent had all our prayers answered by an imagination or a myth. I have also seen Him as many others have. His shining face also bought us rest in His arms...words to caress His face as His bride and to be still and quiet as He holds us in His arms. We and the sweet atheists have suffered without this information...but He is here and smiling at you now as you read..rest..rest. What is your reaction to this?

They seem to constantly search and search, latch on to fake ideas and cults, kaballah, scientology anything they think they can twist into something that is based on anything except God?

What I mean by that is that alot of people who don't believe in God claim that He doesn't exist and/or that He doesn't love them just because He doesn't grant them every single little selfish thing they ask Him for.

The gates of hell will be widened to accommodate the large number of people who justify their immoral life and honestly believe they are ok (Alcoholics/Drug addicts/Gays/Lesbians/Murders/Abortionist, Etc.)

Secondly, there are so many religions because no wants to conform. If you don't like something about a religion, you create another one. What ever happened to be transformed and changing your life to meet the standard?

Those people who didn’t live by any certain code or set of ethics. Those who said there is no hell simply because I don’t believe. Not believing doesn’t change the fact that there is such a place.

The Bible says we are created in God's image! That would make God a fag or a dyke, which is not the case because Jesus was without sin. Look at a gay guy, usually he acts so feminine it is sickening. The there are the lesbians who act ever so masculine. That is God's way of saying, "Hello McFly, see something wrong here?"

According to the Talmud, the authoritative Jewish holy book. Yeshu was the son of a Jewish woman named Miriam who was betrothed to a carpenter. "Betrothed" means she was legally married to him, but she was not yet living with him or having sexual relations with him. The story says that Miriam was either raped by or voluntarily slept with Pandeira, a Greek or Roman soldier. Miriam than gave birth to Yeshu, who was considered a "mamzer" (bastard), a product of an adulterous relationship. The Talmud describes Yeshu as a heretic who dabbled in sorcery and lead the people astray. He was eventually executed. Yeshu is the real name for what the Greeks erroneously translated into Jesus, Miriam is the Jewish form of Mary, and according to the Christian New testament her husband was the carpenter known as Joseph. The working of Jesus’s miracles could also be viewed as sorcery or magic, and Jesus was executed. So what we have here is a biography of Jesus written by his own people the Jews.
Why do Christians accept as truth the New Testament, written in Greek long after Jesus was dead, by foreigners who had never met Jesus, when here is a biography written about him by his own people? Surely him being a mamzer is more plausible then virgin birth.
Why do Christians accept the whole of the Old Testament, a collection of Jewish holy stories lierally, but reject this Jewish biography of Jesus in favour of some Greek myths of extremely dubious origin?

I recently found out the relationship i've been in for almost 3 years(friend,**** bud,Joe,ect)up until Easter was all fake-She was in it for the high and then the money.OK...I can deal with that(stupidity,drugs,lonely...blah,blah, blah....

Here's the problem...Hep c...Herpes,ect....Just found out about herpes-She said she always get's tested-I found out threw a friend of hers...
Should I be freaking out?
