In life, of reality? what of all of it..do we really create it with our minds?

Do some people believe in God because that explanation is the most real, and some believe in scientific explanations for EVERYTHING and for them those scientific explanations are the more real?

Do people believe in God because a scientific explanation doesn't make sense, and they in order to function as a human need to fill the gap with SOME explanation, hence "god"

For God's sake (yes, i do use god's name in vain!), why wate your life with pointless rituals and talking to someone who isnt real. Can people not decide for themselves what they believe is right and wrong rather than having to read it fom a book of FICTION??? I liken it to how we're supposed to eat 5 pieces of fruit or veg a day - does anybody do it? no, because fruit doesent taste as nice as cholcolate cake! Its called enjoying your life - enjoy every moment and dont waste your time on your knees in church! atheism is the chocolate cake just waiting to be enoyed by anyone smart enough not to be hypnotised by the evil fruits of religion!

Jesus Christ in the Quran
-----------------------------------

2:253 - "to 'Isa, the son of Maryam, We gave Clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit."

3:45 - "Behold! the angels said: "O Maryam! Allah giveth Thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Al-Masih 'Isa. The son of Maryam, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah"

3:52 - "When 'Isa found unbelief on their part he said: "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the disciples: "We are Allah's helpers: we believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness"

3:55 - "Behold! Allah said: "O 'Isa! I will take thee and raise thee to myself and clear thee (of the falsehood) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject Faith, to the Day of Resurrection: then shall ye all return unto Me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute".

This is quoted as a victory scripture and I believe it means that it takes some physical pain and effort in order to realize your position in the Kingdom of God since the days back to John and Jesus. BUT the way many Pastors and bible teachers use it, and never elaborate is confusing. Please answer if you have received a true understanding of this bible passage. Thanks!

Once, I read this sentence but I don't remember who wrote them:

" PURE LIGHT ALWAYS FINDS ITS WAY WHATEVER IT SEEMS. "

Do you know the author of those words?
What do you think about this sentence?

Theres alot of evidence in that film that supports the claims that it makes. I have seen no such creditable evidence in the bible for the claims that it makes, other than, you must have faith etc etc which dont count!

It really makes a mockery of all those creationists who claim that scientists are turning away en masse from evolution :

Project Steve is a parody by the National Center for Science Education (NCSE). More specifically, it is a parody of creationist attempts to collect a list of scientists who "doubt evolution". The NCSE's list of scientists who "support evolution" only contains scientists named Stephen or variations thereof (Stephanie, Stefan, Esteban, etc.), thus representing about 1% of the total population. Despite this restriction, it is longer and contains more eminent scientists than any creationist list. The project was named in honor of the paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould.

Eminent scientists who are included in the "pro evolution list" include Stephen Hawking as well as both Nobel Prize winning Steves in science, Steven Chu and Steven Weinberg. The Steve-o-meter reads 744 Steves as of June 8, 2006.

Isn't humour and mockery the best way to deal with creationists ?

I'm an Arab christian orthodoxy. I believe in Allah, La ilaha ilallah, there's no god except Allah, as the Creator of this universe, I believe in prrophet Issa Alayhi salam as the Savior, and I believe the rohul Qudus the Holy spirits exist in each christian's followers.

But I don't believe that Issa Alayhi salam is the Messiah-son of god. I cant understand Trinity concept. it seems a little complicated.
Now,the question is:
1.how do u explain trinity for me so i can understand it?
2.I don't believe the trinity concept means i'm not a christian?

I need the answer from the point of view of western Christians..
Thank you
