Humans and monkeys evolved from the same common ancestor.
Now humans and monkeys are seperate species.
Comparisons between chimp and human DNA show the two species share 95 per cent of their genetic material.
Monkeys aren't going to change into humans - this has nothing to do with Darwin's theory on human origins.

DARWIN SAYS HIS TEORY IS NO MORE WITH HIS OWN WORDS!!!
In Asia, Africa and Australia lives a remarkable creature the archerfish that shoots down its prey from the air above it with a burst of water. It uses its tongue and the top of its mouth to form a groove simiilar to a gun barrel. Then by compressing its gills it squirts water up to six feet with deadly accuracy -- in spite of the distortion caused by seeing the target from below the surface of water.
Evolutionists still don't know how the archerfish got its amazing abilities. They can only wonder. Viewid through the distortion of evolution they cannot explain how the archerfish gradually learned to not aim where its eyes see but to aim instead at a different spot where the target actually is.
Without its binocular vision it couldnot see the object with such precision and without the special shape of the upper mouth and a specialized tongue it could not make the groove it needs to shoot lthe concentrated jet of water. Many factors have to appear together and be perfectly formed for this shooting mechanism to work. This of course goes totally against Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory which is based on a gradual step by step process.
Darwin wrote in (The Origin of Species)-- "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous successive slight modifications my theory would absolutely break down"(1859, p. 171).
The archerfish offers precisely such an example since several complex systems must all appear at the same time perfectly and not gradually formed--binocular vision,a specialized mouth and tongue, specialized gills to compress and expel water and an aiming system based in the brain and not in the eyes. If any of these parts is missing the mechanism will not hit the target and no survival advantage is created.
When you get down to the facts the archerfish with one squirt of its gills shoots down Charles Darwin's entire theory of evolution and that by Darwin's own admission!!!
So evolution doesn't have the answer to this mystery. But the Bible does. Genesis 1:20-21 says that God created all the creatures that live in the water. He created a great variety of perfectly formed fish including the archerfish with all its special features such as binocular vision other specialized organs and a built in ability to compenste for the distortion of the water.

Even if all apes, monkeys, chimps, gorillas and other primates were evolving into humans (which is a misunderstanding of evolution by the way) we would not know. Darwin was talking about changes that took place over millions of years. At best humans have reliable scientific records of animals that date a few centuries.
So to make statements like this about evolution is like disbelieving the Earth is spinning because you can't feel it move.

Monkeys and humans had a common ancestor. This helps prove Darwin's theory. Monkeys are not ever going to turn into humans, althoough when I look in the White House I am not so sure that humans aren't turning into monkeys.

They are not adapting to the preasures that our anscestors had to. We lived in lush forests with watery groves, much like some apes today do. The climate changed and the forests receeded and became a savanah. We had already adapted to total bi-pedalness by spending so much time in the water. We had to begin scavenging dead animals to get enough food and learn how to tell when dangerous savanah animals were around, like lions. By learning to read tracks we eventually developed rudementary hunting skills.
The monkeys didnt go out into the savanah. They stayed in the trees. They didnt even like to spend time in the waters like we did. Our relative hairlessness may be a result of the time we spent in those grove ponds.

I thought humans evolved from a common ancestor. Monkeys and human share common ancestor. They wouldn't change in to humans all round us like that. It probably took millions of yrs for changes like that to happen. A friend was telling me that like if u have some apes and some of the apes moved to another part of the world they might start adapting to cope with they're new surroundings and maybe over time evolved in to humans but not sure.

Well, they are.....sort of. Each and every generation of the Great Apes (instead of "monkeys") has some genetic variation that allows some INDIVIDUALS to use the environment more successfully. Those are the ones who stand a greater chance of extending their lineage via procreation. The process is simply so slow that we (as long-lived as we are) don't notice it. Any species above the single-celled stage takes more than a few hours to accumulate the necessary mutations to produce a new species/sub-species.

OK ernest77, what planet are you living on? This archerfish theory is way out to lunch....
Just like any other evolutionary adaptation, the archerfishes' abilities developed through natural selection. I won't go into details because you obviously aren't educated in evolution and it would be a waste of time. Please stop preaching about a topic you don't know anything about!

I'm with you on this one. I think the idea of evolving from monkey's is completely rediculous. Yes, we would see an assembly line of freakish steps in the evolutionary scale evolving constantly before our eyes if that were the case.
