Just ask the guy who wrote it and see what he says -- HEY hey said it was FICTION!
People wonder why so many Christians were against this book, and this is the reason. Even though they held it out as fiction there are still some people who believe it.
How can you prove that CSI: Miami is fiction? Because it is.

Your initial question is logically faulty. Just as the burden of proving that Jesus was the Son of God is on Christian, the burden of proving that Jesus had a wife, a child, and that his descendants live among us is upon those making the claim. Dan Brown is not among those making that claim by the way, he has repeatedly asserted that his story is intended entirely as fiction. In that sense you have your proof that the story in the actual novel The Da Vinci Code, is made up. However, there is no concrete proof available either way as to the divinity or marriage of Jesus Christ. In the future, you should bear in mind that when someone asks you to prove that something happened, it is intellectually lazy and logically fallacious of you to respond with "prove it didn't."

If you go to the website www.danbrown.com it states the author researched the topics before writing the book and that even though a majority of events were true and could be backed up, that to prevent him from having a court action against him he listed the book as fiction.
He stated he wrote the book to make people think of a bigger picture and that everything is not always as it appears. It has been proven that the catholic church have destroyed scriptures/scrolls in the past to change the religion to sound how they wanted Jesus and his disciples portrayed.
Why would they do that? What do they have to hide? What dont they didnt want us knowing?
Some of those scriptures "The Nag Hammadi Library" were hidden in a cave in order to avoid them from being destroyed. Someone found them in upper Egypt in 1945 and they were named after the Town they were found in.
I havent seen the movie. I havent read the book. But I have watched the Da Vinci Code fact or fiction on discovery channel and yes I do believe some of it is real. In this documentry the catholic church admitted that Mary the Magdelen (high tower) was not a prostitute although in the bible it appeared she was being referred to as that. The catholic church admitted they omitted other verses and that they spoke of a prostitute in the sentence before mention of Mary and because they mention Mary directly in the next sentence they allowed people to believe she was of ill repute for the last few thousand years. How messed up is that?? Why are they omitting anything out of the scripts if its all supposedly Jesus life occurences and miracles?
So what if Jesus was married and had a daughter. That would make him more relatable/comparitive to ourselves instead of thinking hes someone we could never set our standards to equal.
I think Bible bashers, Christians and Religious Nutters are like sheep. Someone feeds them a whole heap of bull and they are too stupid to question any of it, instead they all follow one another over the cliffs edge. lol

I think that there are a lot of UN answered questions, and most of what is told just doesn't always make since. I believe that there are higher powers and that their are more then one higher power. I could get into it more but some people may not understand what I would have to say. Some people go through life with blinders on and they just go with the flow of what everyone thinks and religion is one of them. I have communicated with so many spirits that are still stuck here and there were no reason for them to be left behind. So why didn't they go to heaven?

Because first of all Dan Brown wrote it. He says the story is fiction although a lot of the facts in the book are true. Read some other books by Dan Brown and you'll discover a similar pattern to the books.

with enough facts and twisting anything can be proven true or false. there actually is some historical events or artifacts that can support or negate claims of religion. why do you think there are so many? just like the bible. it didn't jsut show up it was found in some ruins. you can find one dated back to before the roman empires. yes most of it sounds fake but like the national inquirer some stories gotta start somewhere.

If you say no to Jesus then i can understand why you would believe the fiction, thats how it was writed it says its FICTION, so if you believe it why ask that question, you believe as you will.
but you have it backwards there is more evidence of Jesus and The Father exsiting then in the Da Vinci code book. ty

The ''creator'' of the supposed secret files, Pierre Plantard, and his few followers admitted to planting false documents in the historical archives of Paris. In addition, he has the gall to name himself next in the sacred royal bloodline. And I'm only just beginning. It's not a question of faith but of ethics: a supposed half 'true' is a complete 'false'. Don't you watch the Discovery Channel?
