Since God is everywhere and knows everything and sees all, He must be watching me if(alright, when) I masturbate.

Is this true, and if so, is there a way to get Him to stop watching? I mean, come on, that's just rude. I don't appreciate that sort of monitoring, and I think that if God truly loves us, He could at least give us a little privacy.

Is that too much to ask?

I know that, unlike Catholics, Protestants believe that the bible interprets itself.

If someone looks at a verse in scripture and they claim that it means something radically different than what you interpret it to mean, do you think that they must be lying?

For example, I see that the bible when taken into context is clearly consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Do you think that I am lying?

May God bless you.

i believe that the main parts of the bible were true, but a few stories in it were just added to be a lesson. like for example, the storey of lia and racheal. in the storey god describes lia of being the ugly sister, and i dont think god would realy call anyone ugly, because we were all created in his immage and it says in the bible that he doesnt see beauty lke we do. also in the storey there is sex "before mairage" and God didnt mention anything about it being wrong. i cant immagine that this realy happened, i thaink He just added it in to teach us something, but im not sure what. do u share this belief whith me, or do u know the meaning of the story. anything u have to say would be appreciated.

"The Lord also tells me to tell you in the mid 90’s, about ’94-’95, no later than that, God will forbid all sexual activity in America. [audience applauds] He will destroy it – with what many minds have thought Him to be, He will destroy it with fire. And many will turn and be saved, and many will rebel and be destroyed."

I mean, look all around you? How can you think that the beautiful earth was created from a "big-bang"? There is even EVIDENCE that the bible is true! Here is some of it:

When archiologists found the walls of Jerico, they had fallen outwards. They were made to fall inwards towards the city. Guess what? The bible says that the walls were supposed to have fallen outwards...just as they were found! Jesus fufilled 61 prophesies in the Old Testament. These were written HUNDREDS of years before he was born! Guess what else Jesus did? He told us about things happening in the future...THEY HAVE HAPPENED! I mean, it looks pretty obvious to me!! Well, what about the torah (muslim bible) or other religions holy books. The bible says that you cannot add or subtract anything to/from it! What are these religions doing? ADDING/SUBTRAGTIONG FROM THE BIBLE, and from the evidence I've found, I would believe in the bible, Christ, and God! I just don't see how y'all don't...

If you were to go back in history, you'd quickly learn that the main relegion for a long time was Roman Catholic. Then came Martin Luther and Henry VIII...from there the divisions have seemed almost endlesss. Why if we all beleive inGod do we splinter away under multiple titles from the original, and even attack the original faith?

The pattern that God followed in making man was Himself, " in our image". What is this image? In Hebrew " image" refers to spiritual rather than physical. Mankind is not created as a duplication to God, but in His shadow image. God has bestowed on human beings an immaterial, invisible, essence. We are endowed with certian rational, moral, and relational capacities, which God empowers with the spark of life. As the image of God, humans are the only creatures who uniquely reflect God. From a theological point of view, the soul is the real person, existing within a biologically living body.

He has helped me with everything else in my life, and I came up hard. So I have prayed a lot, and had a lot of prayers answered. I knew He was my Lord when he helped me get out of a bad life I was in before. Now he has me out of that and doing well. My baby just won't quit crying and it's wearing the family down. My son says his nerves are bad (at 5 years old) and it's a burden on my marriage because my husband has to do the lions share because by th time he gets home I am just DONE. What can I do? Should I seek a faith healer for the baby and my family or just keep praying? I'm desperate and looking for God's help. I'm just so desperate. She's 6 months old.

The theory of evolution depends upon three conditions.

Life Happens
Creative Mutations
Lots of Time
Let's look at each of these conditions, one at a time.

Life Happens
According to the theory of evolution, at some time in the distant past there was no life in the universe -- just elements and chemical compounds. Somehow, these chemicals had to combine to form Frankencell, which came to life somehow. (Presumably, a lightning bolt and a deformed assistant were involved.)

The February 1988 issue of EARTH magazine is a special issue on Origins. The cover promises an article that will tell us "How Life Really Began". The article itself, however, says that scientists just don't know. Even Stanley Miller, whose experiments are cited in most biology text books, states in that article that the origin of life is still unknown.

There are only two documented cases of inanimate objects coming to life.

Pinocchio
Frosty the Snowman
Most scientists consider these two reports to be false.

The notion that dead material can come to life all by itself is not consistent with scientific observation.

Creative Mutations
Under normal circumstances, creatures give birth to the same kind of creatures. One does not expect a lizard to hatch from a chicken egg. Chickens have baby chickens. It is established scientific fact that like begets like.

On rare instances, the DNA in an embryo is damaged, resulting in a mutant child that differs in some respect from its parent. Only a few mutations have been scientifically observed that are arguably beneficial. It is well known that mutations produce inferior offspring. For the theory of evolution to be true, there must be a fantastic number of creative mutations that produce new kinds of offspring which are better suited for survival, and therefore are favored by natural selection.

It is claimed that the reptile-to-mammal evolution is well documented. But for reptiles to evolve into mammals

scales had to have mutated into hair
breasts had to have evolved from nothing
hard-shelled externally laid eggs had to evolve into soft-shelled eggs that were nourished by an umbilical cord and placenta in a womb
etc.
None of these transformations have ever been observed in a laboratory.

The notion that random genetic changes can produce creative mutations is not consistent with scientific observation.

Lots of Time
Sadly, it is well known that living things can die. This has often been observed. It has NOT been scientifically demonstrated that a dead thing can come to life. Despite this, evolutionists believe that given enough time, something dead will come to life by some method or another.

It has never been observed in any laboratory that mutations can cause one species to turn into another. Despite this, evolutionists believe that given enough time, some critters will eventually evolve into other critters.

Evolutionists claim that although we have not actually observed these things happening, that does not mean that they are impossible. They say it simply means they are extremely improbable. It is extremely improbable that you can toss a coin and have it come up heads 100 times in a row. But if you toss coins long enough, eventually it will happen. Evolutionists think the world has been around long enough for all these highly improbable things to happen.

If we observe present processes, and make the assumption that they have have been going on at the same rate since they started, we generally come to the conclusion that the Earth could not be billions of years old. Some of the processes that have been studied that give young ages for the Earth are:

Continental erosion
Sea floor sediments
Salinity of the oceans
Helium in the atmosphere
Carbon 14 in the atmosphere
Decay of the Earth's magnetic field

The old ages for the Earth come primarily from the ages of rocks, which are dated by the presumed ages of the fossils in them. Radioactive measurements of rocks are based on assumptions that were chosen to make the radioactive measurements agree with the presumed ages of the fossils.

The eruption of Mount St. Helens produced many feet of stratified rocks which look millions of years old, but were produced in days or hours. Radioactive measurements of these rocks show them to be millions of years old, too. But we know they were formed in 1980 because scientists saw them formed.

The notion that the Earth is billions of years old is not consistent with a considerable amount of scientific observation.
Conclusion
The theory of evolution is not believed because of scientific evidence. It is believed DESPITE scientific evidence. Science is against the theory of evolution.
