Briefly, YES!
The bible is a collection of stories, early old testament based mostly on the Talmud of Hebrew mythology. the new testament gospels are mostly quotations purported to be spoke by a guy named Jesus. Not considering that the original meanings may have been lost through translations and changing times, like all stories that survive centuries, they have become a shared cultural tradition. They are not necessarily made up to teach us, nor are they exactly true (very few detailed empirical facts are present), we keep them to teach ourselves and others.
Compare this to the American folklore hero , John Henry the steel driving man. Its a great man vs machine story , is it real? does it matter? It teaches us not to have too much faith in technology and to not give up an the ability of the individual

The stories in the Bible are not just stories they are real live events that took place not made up, like a rainbow. A Rainbow is a promise from God to Noah that the Earth will never again be destroyed by water,or the people in it ,read Genesis chapter 9:11-17 it is a covenant between God and Noah and the Bow that comes out of the clouds as a Promise.

Some stories, yes. They are called parables.
And even though God may not see lia as ugly himself, it may have helped to make the point of the parable become real.
I've read the Bible, and I cant think of any story that mentions sex before marriage, where there was not some kind of punishment for it. Even David and Bathseba were punished.
But yes, there are many parables in the Bible, wich are stories that teach us a lesson.

It doesn't say she was ugly but that she had delicate eyes. It does say Rachel was lovely. As to sex Jacob was married to both before that. When Laban gave them to him that was marriage, He first gave Leah by deceit and then gave Rachel probably the next day when he found out he had been given Leah after he had worked 7 years for Rachel. He was given Rachel right away but still had to work another 7 years for her, Laban was rather crooked. There are many incidents in the Bible recorded that show some of the short comings of Gods people. This does not condone sin but is just honest. Even the most preeminent believers struggle with sin.

None of the Stories in the bible are fictious they are all true as a matter of fact most of them have been proven the bible is the guide book of how to live your life. You have got the story with Lea and Rachel wrong In the first place Jacob wanted to marry Rachel but Rachel's father agreed only if Jacob worked for him 7 years which Jacob did but then it was time to give Rachel to Jacob but Rachel's Father didn't like that so he gave him Lea his older daughter and made an excuse saying that the oldest has to marry first you could see how frustrated Jacob was. So Jacob agreed to help Rachel's father if he got Rachel this time. He did it and loved Rachel more than Lea cause he loved Rachel from the beginning. And God does mention Sex before marriage being bad I suggest you read the bible.

If you start to pick out what is true from the Bible then how will you know which part is from which part isn't? The Bible says that all scripture is given by inspiration from God - God doesn't tell lies. Jesus even stated in Matthew 24 that his second coming will be like the days of Noah and the flood - Jesus himself referred to that story and some today think that it is not real but Jesus said it was. God dealt differently with people in the OT than in NT. Since the death of Jesus mercy and grace abounded more but that isn't to say that mercy and grace wasn't in the OT but the new convenant allows us to have a closer connection through the shed blood of Jesus. All the Bible his true and therefore we should follow all of it, Jesus told parables throughout his ministry which were stories to explain what he was trying to convey to us but he made the distinction whenever he was about to speak a parable that it was one.

Some things in the Bible are fictitious. They are there to illustrate a truth or a lesson. The Bible is not a history book. However a lot of the Bible is true and it is the word of God written by the hand of man.

I believe every story in the Bible. God is the creator of the world and knows ever thing. If the Lord can create the heavens and the earth in six days, how hard it believe the parting of the Red Sea, Jesus' resurrection, the plagues afflicted Egypt, the Flood with Noah's Ark, Daniel in the lion's den and other stories. All the stories have in common that those who love him put their total faith in God. The Lord's wisdom and power is unfathomable and far beyond our mere human understanding. We are like doubting Thomas,we lack the faith to believe anything unless we see for ourselves.

I believ that the hole bible was created just as a big teaching book for us, so that we know what is right and what is wrong. But sometimes I think that it is wrong, cause it is lies in some part of the history but still I have nothing against it.

Since most of the stories in the Bible (mostly Genesis) were originally Pagan and modified to fit the Christian belief, yes I do believe some of the stories are fiction.
