Read the bible.
It's one of the most sexist books in history. "more bitter than death is woman" an so on.
Basically, the men who wrote the bible were jealous of women and it shows in thier writings.
They probably couldn't get laid in a morgue...

First of all you don't have to qualify Catholics as Christian, it goes without saying. Secondly I'm Catholic and I'm not sexist. I know many Catholics who aren't. Maybe you should ask instead why are so many people in general sexist.

It's really interesting to me that Christians are taking such a bashing on this site. Because I'm not a Christian or a muslim or hindu or Buddist etc. What is the matter with the people who are doing the bashing, can't they see when they're typing their questions that there are far more examples of irrationality in several other religions? I'm not saying which I think they are. Decide for yourself.

there is no such thing as christian catholics. No such thing. Either you're Catholic or Christian.

Catholicism believes in Mary, that she is the Intercessor, thinks that communion gives them Jesus's flesh (which would sound like they're cannibals), worships a mound of stone that looks like her.

Christianity does not worship Mary, does not believe Mary to be the Intercessor, believes that Jesus Christ is their Lord Savior, and believes on God by faith, not some piece of stone.

So next time, try not to tie Catholics with Christians and vice versa.

What is sexist to say that only a man can be a Pope or Priest?
It is part of the business.

It's a little difficult to answer this question without some supporting detail. What behavior of Roman Catholic believers, in particular, did you have in mind?

You have to remember the Bible was written by men in a time where women had no voice. The men did every thing.
