Be careful of spirits and especially deep meditation that is not with the Bible. The last guy who i heard did that the Mormon religion started out of him and today they put the book of Moroni above the Bible. The Bible says that if a spirit comes to you you should test it from the Bible, Isaiah 8. If they speak of things contrary to the Bible then they are not of God, or if they add to things in the Bible, Revelation 22:18,19. Hope this was helpful.

Nimittas---visions and dreams: When we go deeper into theta wave, we tend to have dreamlets and visions. These are like television movies, in which we can only watch the sequence of events, but we cannot change the events or characters in the dreams. However, we can stop the show completely and nothing else. The visions are scenes of splendor or horror, or we may see Buddha, Jesus or Allah. Whatever it is, it is an illusion. The Japanese Zen practitioners call this Makyo (hallucination). What shall we do about it? We watch it and ignore it. Do not take it seriously.

one might encounter a new feeling of area of freedomm of getting away if only for a moument and yes that would be called obe happens in the rem and delta state of sleep for me around 4am or so

ABSOLUTELY!!!! I love to just sit back and listen to my Holy Spirit, the "gifts" flow from above constantly in my life...I am 8 months clean and sober, and have no desire to go back to the wretch I once was. Peace and Love to you.
