Is the idea of "God" just a creation of our need to believe in something more powerful than us, that can control our destiny, listen to our needs and eventually protect us from "evil", etc.??

God created man to be with a woman and vice versa. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the sinful filthiness. These immoral acts are as justified as treason. Simply, because people are turning their backs on God's perfect design of Love. Lastly, no one is born Gay! That is just a pathetic excuse to live like a dog.

Great hymn isnt it? My question is about WW2! Not all Germans were fascists, in fact just a minority, most were Christians, their religious leaders went into battle with them, and they all prayed to their Christian God.
The vast majority of the allies were Christians, and their religious leaders also went into battle with them! and they also all prayed to their Christian God!
Then they all set about killing each other!
Question :- Is fighting for your country more important than your Christian beliefs ??

How can abortion be wrong ? what about falling pregnant after rape, incest and what about teen pregnancies? what about a deformed fetus? unplanned pregnancies? and the health of the mother? abortion is never an easy thing for a woman, and how can men decide for women?

There was a question just posted, and one answer suggested that it should also be considered in reverse. I agree, and I'd like to see what you all think. I'm gonna rephrase it a bit.

Please keep in mind that this is a hypothetical. Don't get all hung up on the details, please.

If your daughter was dying and the only person who could save her demanded that you deconvert, leave your religion, and deny your God, would you do it?

If you don't, this person will refuse to save her and she will die. You would not have to stop believing "in your heart" but you would be required to talk and behave as if you really deconverted from your religion and denied your God.

One more thing... please play nicely when you answer. No need for hatefulness.

I don't know, i've been insecure about one issue..

I have a birthmark right near my chest, but its not any bad one.
Its tan.

I havn't had sex or anything, im just insecure even when i get married and make love.

I'm attractive, and have a good body-from what ppl say..

but is this an issue? Will this make a guy grossed out, or wont care about it?
