Oh no... there are christian psychologists and counselors out there? I mean not ones that just happen to be christians but ones who define themselves by it? And their therapy is "read the bible"? Oh please tell me this isn't true. For the love of all your holy stuff please no.... They don't have actual degrees do they? I think I'm going to be ill... You are clear on the reason that this "therapy" isn't helping, right? Do I really need to go into it further? Please suggest to your partner that they see an actual therapist with real training. They can be christian, even.

PRAISE THE LORD JESUS! First thing by reading those scriptures seems that the person has some problems with fear. My first question would be is has your friend recieved the HOLY Ghost. If you don't understand what im talking about read Acts Chapter 2. This is her spiritual power along with the authourity given to her by Christ Jesus and is the most vital weapon that a believer can posses. If not I suggest that she starts to seek to be filled by Gods Spirit and with power over the enemy. Only the devil operates in fear! and confussion.

Anxiety and depression for 15 years, or christian? The verses all relate to how we as followers are given love as strength. What they should do next is give her the verse where Jesus says fear not, for I am with you always, even unto the end. Then help you both strengthen your trust in Gods love. One thing, Gods love must be shared, is it possible that you don't share in that love? Are possibly agnostic? If so, could you be the cause of her anxiety?

I have pasted the verses above so that I can get an idea of what scripture is used. All of these are encouragement for the believer about what God's spirit who indwells us gives us. God's Holy Spirit gives us power to live, to do the impossible and to be all that God has called us to be. You didn't tell us much about the context in which the councelors and Dr. gave these scriptures but I am assuming it is to remind her that if your partner has been born again and has a true relationship with Christ these are the promises that He keeps within her.
Fear is something that grips Christians always. I find myself using these scriptures always to remember that I am not doing what I want to do but what the Will of God is. I don't know if I am helping any but these scriptures are just to remind you of the power of the spirit that lives within you.

WHY do she EXTREME ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION about? Born again mean indwelt by Holy Spirit. When you could Pray spontanously it mean the Holy Spirit in you. Because no one can pray spontanously without the work of Holy Spirit. Some churches teach that some one indwelt but Holy Spirit must speak with tangoe language. But I say no.

Basically, anyone who lies and does not acknowledge Jesus' Second Coming is of the enemy. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. Rest in His spirit, we cannot always see the reason for His works, He works in strange and mysterious ways, but it is always for our good.

The whole born again thing and mental disorders seem to go hand in hand. It's like a codependent relationship. How much are you paying these counselors anyway? Hopefully not as much as you give the church. I don't know how you people keep food on the table they way these groups suck on you.

If your friend is truly born again God may reveal something and or speak to them througth the verse suggested to read. Which will solve their problems.The Lord works in misterious ways.

there is little relief from mere readings,she can be freed from depression/stress/strain/tension only thru MEDITATION,this is the only permanent medicine for the child,just close her outer eyes and watch within what ever is happening inside,sit calmly daily for at least 15mts.it is better if she sits in the company of some good meditator.
