I do not believe that what Bible writers / editors left for their readers proves anything one way or the other.

Possibly. Unless of course you're a Christian

No, the first human that God created was a man. If you won't believe the Bible or the writers of the Bible, why would you believe an unemployed internet chatter?

Yes.

In Genesis 3:20, Adam says Eve is the Mother of All Living. But she isn't the mother of anyone yet. Cain and Abel have yet to be born. She isn't anyone's mother. She isn't even Adam's mother. Or is she?

The story would actually make more sense if God had created Eve first and then brought Adam forth from Eve, But the people who wrote the Pentateuch did seem to be male chauvinists.

I think they both were created at the same time but the bible just mention Adam being first. Eve came pretty fast after Adam because God knew man could not live without a woman, so they brought her into the picture after Adam. But she was already here, that is why man shall not make babies without thee woman. So that makes us equal!!!! But the bible doesn't want to mention that..

That's a good question. I suppose she would have had to have been. Who would have given birth to the others? Then again how did she get pregnant? I does seem as though the whole question is moot however. According to some responses there seems to be a book that says it was some guy named Adam.
My favorite response was the girl that "saids" you were an idiot.
Perhaps we should learn to spell and think for ourselves before call someone else stupid.

Did you know that the first human man and woman were created perfect? They lost their perfection by their disobedience and so imperfection was all they had to pass on to their offspring. Adam and Eve sold us out. And Jesus gave his perfect life to buy perfection back for us. When the full benefits of his ransom sacrifice are applied to deserving humans they will be restored to perfection. and they will have the opportunity to live forever on a paradise earth, just like God intended in the beginning. Listen and learn.

interesting question. Many highly religous people (or just religous people in general) will say that some higher power created man first, period. But it really could have been either way. We have no way of knowing what really happened "at the beginning of time" and i highly doubt we ever will. The question "Could the first human have been a woman?" is one of life's unanswerable questions that all comes down to one word. IF.

When you take the facts that women have complete chromosomes, were most likely the first to develop language, were the ones who needed and demanded better shelter and a more consistent food supply, more than likely. If not the first human then the beginning of civilization.

well, yes
but that's like saying the first meal could have been lunch
there are not real hard and fast borders between evolving species
for example, a very fast changing life form, flu viruses are not all different. Do all cause fevers? no. Do all flu viruses affect people? no
You are asking this in the religion forum, so I guess you are not really looking for a 'scientific' explanation

No, the Bible speaks the truth. Maybe if the first human had been a woman the world wouldn't be as messed up as it is today.

That is funny. After reading other responses to this question, even the chicks are convinced first person was a man. The blind, mindless power of religion. Some people are dumber than a bag of hammers
