Its true! Christians say that only Christians go to Heaven, Muslims say only Muslims go there. Catholics, Jews, etc etc say the same.
Why? I believe God loves all of us regardless of religion and its not about which faith you belong to, but rather the condition of your heart and how you live your life. So why do people insist on believing God cares only about people of their own religion?

ehc11 - thats a really lovely thought and i wish more people thought that way. With a lot of Christians its like 'those who do not follow Christ go to hell' and they are happy with that.
Me personally, I would like to see people from all faiths there (Heaven).
monica - WTF?!?

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. Religion sucks but Jesus Rocks. Religion gets a man nowhere no matter what ytou believe. But Trusting Jesus now that Gets a person forgiveness of sin and eternal life in heaven.
God does love all. But there is problem called sin. No religion really deals with sin. But Jesus died for it.
I'm not one of God's chosen people because I'm a christian. I am because because Jesus chose me. Now that is very biblical. By the way no other faith in the world actually believes they are defiantly going to heaven. You ask some one and they will hope they are going. Know Jesus is 100% positive that you will go there.
ARE YOU?

It is what they have been taught. Some of them don't think like that but I do find that a lot of them do. I think they are told that it is true and they believe it. The thing I don't understand is when people say "you have to follow this and be nice, etc." and then they are horrible to anyone outside of their religion. If there is a God, I would imagine that all of the religions are worshipping the same one.

Because obviously their religion is correct! In my opinion (I'm Christian btw) is that all religions worship the same God but just go about it differently. The main difference with Christianity is that God has come to us as well. Therefore God loves us all and we can all get into heaven! Simple as that really!

I don't know, but I think everyone should just band together, no matter what the religion, and just worship God, because that is who they are worshipping, just under a different name, and forget about our differences.
I think the world would be a better place. I believe in God, but I don't follow any religion, although I did go to a Catholic school.

In the Old testament. the Chosen pple were the isrealites, the Grand children of Ibrahim. See EX: 12-onwards as the history continues.
Then the rest of the world came in AFTER the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. see Mat 28:18-20. this work started with the disciples, they started with Jelusalem going outward. see Acts esp. Acts10:34-48,11:1-18,13:44. thats basically how the gospel spread.
SO HOWEVER HEARS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS, BELIVES IT EN GET SAVED JOINS THE CHOSEN ONE OF THIS PRESENT TIME UNDER THE NEW CONVENANT. (with Jesus being the Advocate see the book of Hebrews.)
NB: JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND LIFE NO ONE WILL GO TO THE FATHER (GOD) UNLESS THRU HIM.Jn 14:6 why he the advocate of the second convenant. so sort out yourself. i kno little outside the bible

First of all, nobody has lived a perfect, holy life except for Jesus. Everyone has sin in their life. No matter how good your heart is; no matter how well you live your life, just one sin will bring you to hell when you die. You cannot go to heaven by your own means.
However, in Christianity, God offers a gift of salvation, or eternal life in heaven, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is a gift of love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness for all of our sins, and He offers it freely to all mankind. Christians are those who have chosen to accept this gift, while non-Christians have not. They have either rejected His gift, or have not had the opportunity to accept it.
As a Christian, I believe that God cares for every person. God earnestly wants everyone to accept His gift, but He cannot force us to do so, because He gives us free will. If we accept this gift, our sins will be forgiven.

That's what I think. The Christian religion doesn't make sense to me. I would like to think the same that all religions are connected to the same God and we get judged by are heart. It doesn't make sense that all these good people would go to Hell no one deserves a punishment like that.

I guess because we're not going to find out until we die, so we have to assume that the religion we're following is the right way to go. It would be even more stupid if we were all sat around thinking "i'm headed for hell".
