simply because of the niceane creed? where in the bible does it say that god doesn't ahve a body. Moses talked to god face to face as one man talketh to another. the finger of god wrote the ten commandments. why do people refuse to believe he has a body.

---I think that obedience in today's society is something that is almost frowned upon because so many people are trying to be completely independant. Accept responsibility for your actions and give others the respect that they deserve! Especiallly Jesus!

i love god but i dnt understand him..ever since i had my 3 rd child i was diagnsd with bipolar and mania and anxitey..i havent been feeling right physically or mentally. i have prayed everynight almst for god to make me feel better mentally but i still feel bad and suicidal...why wont he help me?

Im anti, because we are one of the richest nations, and we should be helping people not killing civilians. Thats just the simple reason, I have many. But war is inevitable. I think this question regards our inner moral code/religous or otherwise.

I think anyone that truly reads their bible can see the signs are pointing to the fact that we are in the last days, but as the scriptures states, "...no one knows the hour..." and I guess my question is subjective, but I would like to know what other people think and feel... who is right in the debate of religion? How can you have so many people believe different things when we all read the same bible??

Everyone believes that if they are "saved" that will take them through the judgement hour, per se. But what do you think?? Do you think there are requirements that we must meet and the type of person that will gain GOD's favor for life?

that there are 3 parts of god. God the creator (the unmoved mover)and male part of god Anza female part to god, the emotion and nature, and the love between them is the holy spirit. I know it sounds weird but this could make sense. Think..........everone and everything has male and female aspects. In every relationship of love one is feminine and one is masculine. From the looks of it, religious people of all kinds and beliefs seem to disagree more than a republican and a democrat!! And then people who think religion is silly have to put their sense in to cause another dispute.

But okay people, we get it, you love your religion, but that doesn't make you better than everyone else, especially to the point of telling them they are going to hell. You might believe you're right, so what? Every other religions believes they are right too, so what makes you better? You could all be wrong, why not just let everyone live in peace, that is what you advocate, right? None of you seem to be following your own teachings if that's the case.

I say nothing as to my beliefs here, it shouldn't affect answers. I want straight answers, not bible quotes and what not.

My daughters went to a vacation bible school camp last week and are in a short play at the church tomorrow. I really think I need god in my life and I know my kids could use his guidence as well. Thing is ,is that we are not the richest of rich and we dont have super nice clothes for tomorrow. Would it be ok if I wore a nice pair of jean shorts with a nice tank top (not the sluty tank top but the nice kind lol ) Would it be ok if my daughters wore jean capri pants with nice shirts ? I know god dont care what we pray in but I know that some churches are stiff on the dress codes. Its a rather large christian church

Mohandas K Gandhi (Mahatma) told people: If a man Strikes you take no retaliation, Love that person even when they are hurting you.
Jesus said If a man strikes you on one cheek offer the other also. Love your enemies, do good to those that persecute you,....

Gandhi and Jesus seem to promulgate very similar perspectives and principles.
The bible says "we will know they are Christians by their love" and Gandhi loved his enemies. He even loved the one who shot him by immediately asking that no one hurt him or judge him while he lay their dieing.

This being said isn't Gandhi a Christian even though he professed to be a Hindu?

I put my question in this catagory because it fit no where else that I know of, plus there are various different people looking on here.

My whole life I have been the outcast, but its good in a way because I am unique and creative. But being alone is terrible. Do you know what I mean. When your interests are so out there that only a handful of people dig them, it makes one alone. Im not whining, its just something i wonder other people feel here?

I live in pennsylvania, where recently, a giant flood swept though my town destroying trees, roads, bridges and houses all around me. My house was ok because it was on higher ground.

After the water levels lowered, I went down to a neighborhood where as far as my eyes could see, there were people taking all there ruined belongings out of there homes and throwing them into dumpsters along side the road. I wanted to help those people, but I didn't know any of them and thought it might be weird to offer it. Was it wrong for me to ride my bike through town just to view all of the destruction?

80% of America say that they are christian, yet most of them have never even picked up a Bible, so how could they litterly consider themelves a follower of Christs teachings, if they don't even know what he wants?other religions don't get away with that!
and if you say you are christian and don't believe the Bible,WHY do you believe in Jesus, is it just a hunch....or did you just believe heresay? Or if you believe that partof the Bible is true, but not all of it, why believe any of it if you consider it "faulty" would you still use a car manual if it had even 3 mistakes in it?..I hope not.

So hell is supposed to a place of pain with fire that lasts for eternity, right? And our soul is what goes to hell, right? Well, since things like fire and pain are associated with the physical world and the soul is not physical, how is this possible if hell is supposed to be full of fire and pain?
