Relegion is a common belief shared by a group of people. Thats the reasone why we have more than one religion.
Suppose u love somebody and think him/her to be very nice. Somebody tells u that the persone is not good a t all for he/she has seen him/her doing very wrong thing.
Dont say u ud verify the truth because nobody does and so u both will be having a clash on the matter. The same way the religion works. Nobody verifies the truth, n if some body tries also he doesnot have sufficient material/chance to do so.

People lack patience and understanding. Most modern day institutional religions are based in this "one-life, conform or burn in Hell" teaching. Therefore it gives believers an "urgency" to "save" others from Hell. They believe/are told their religion is correct, and in being correct, they must "save" you "the lost", or it would be wrong for them.
Like you just watching someone get hit by a train, when you could have saved them.
They follow their religions blindly, with no need for reason or better explanation than what their leader(s) provide/interpret for them, and become quick to criticize other religions, because they feel so endured to their leaders. They take it personally that someone is meaning that their religious leader is incorrect.
That's my take on it anyway. I am not of course saying institutional religion isn't good. It is, it have spread the word of love and teachings of Jesus throughout the world. It is the first step.

Most of the time it causes problems when one person is trying to tell the other person how they should go to church and what not...right? Telling someone they might need to go Inst a bad thing in my book...going cant hurt anyone can only help them in one way or another...I'm the type of person myself that never liked to talk about church or anything with others because i always felt they was looking down upon me ..After going and seeing what good things can come of it...I only try to help others like family i don't go out and about trying to convert people by no means would never do that...Too I think it causes problems when the other person doesn't fully understand alot of the bible or what not nor they don't believe any of it is true...Not alot of people will talk religion these days because of these issues. So basically i just do whats right for me and keep my mouth shut now...ive learned they dont listen anyhow and will one day learn for thereself ..... Ok i put my 2 cents in Lol

This is a great question, and I understand why you asked. Thanks for not being incriminatory.
The problem with Christianity at least (I can't speak for any other) isn't with the religion, its with the men and women who "speak for God" when they shouldn't. Its funny, they wear bright shiny bracelets with WWJD and then do NOTHING LIKE what Jesus would do. Jesus did NOT advocate war, he did not say, fight for peace, he did NOT say Gays should be allowed to do this or that, he did NOT say Ceasar has too much money, don't pay your taxes. Instead he said "my Kingdom is not part of this world" meaning, "don't worry about wars and rumors of wars" they're not your problem, ignore them, let others worry about them. Someone burning the flag, no problem, its not Jesus' flag, his kingdom isn't here yet and thats the one we should be waiting for, not this one. Jesus did say "Render unto Ceasar what is Cearsars" meaning "obey the laws of the land" up to the point where they put your eternal life at risk. So when it comes to loving America, that's fine, but remember, all of the countries of this world are not here to stay and they need to look forward to the next. However, they get "caught up" in the power and politics of this one and they start in on Abortion and gay rights, and what side has Gods favor in this or that war (when neither does). Then they HATE, acutally HATE people who disagree with them, so that's hardly what Jesus would do is it? Its not the religion, its the imperfect people.

People are very passionate about what they believe in, and if that means they need to debate over it, well then, good. The world would get awfully boring if we just kept our thoughts and opinions to ourselves. Some people feel the need to convert everyone, others just want to be right about their belief, and yes there is always someone to start a fight. But that's life, and this is the way mankind has been for thousands of years. Obviously, we all must be interesting enough to have gotten a rise out of you?

I'm sorry that your experiences with Christians have been so negative.
The Bible calls for us to be "witnesses" and to "let your light shine" )since GOD is referred to as Light in the Bible.
However, the "hell, fire and brimstone' approach doesn't work anymore. Christians are supposed to be an example and live their lives that way so others will wonder what the difference is.
And no, we're not better than everyone else. We just have a higher standard to live up to,.And we're not your judge.

I think that there is no need to argue. I believe that if you want to be with God after you die, Jesus is the only way, like Bible says.
It is about free will. Nobody has to be with God if they do not want to. I believe that Jesus came to the earth to free us from religions, He wanted us to have a personal relationship with God. But my Lord is not forcing anybody. I am not able to tell who is going to hell and who is not. But the Bible is very clear about it. If you(generally speaking) mock God all your life and everything what He stands for, I can see that you do not even want to be with God...and then you won't. You do not have to be a bad person to miss heaven, you only need to not follow Jesus...and then you will go to the other place in eternity ( let's not use word hell because that word seems to be too hot for many of you)...I personally accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and I want to be with Him forever, here and the other side of this life! I am fine with your choice, just choose one!

There can only be one truth. The conflict comes when individuals seek truth in themselves or their version of truth. It may what may is comfortable (even if it not true), or it can be convoluted by men and our fallen condition.
Truth is contained in Jesus. He came to us to fulfill and reveal the truth of a great God and loving Creator. A God with so much love that He would give His Son to die in our place.
Truth can be found in the life and words of Jesus, but when man refuses the truth there is conflict even within believers and leaders. If you want straight answers they are in the Bible and the words of Christ alone. He said "I am the Truth, the Life and the Way. No one comes to the Father except through Me." We may selfishly disagree or not accept that, which causes disagreement and conflict.
The Bible says "The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom." It means we find our life when we lose it in God.

Fabulous comment! I agree 110% I do not believe in religion, but don't look down or up upon anyone who follows a certain belief. To each their own. Treat others how you want to be treated.

You seem to be confusing the words religion and faith.
Organized religion is about money and power. Of course, the folks in charge will do whatever they need to do to retain the money and power for themselves.
Faith is whether you believe in God and/or Jesus (or whatever). This is sometimes abused by the folks running organized religion.
