Oh my God! What an excellent question. So, I say, yes to your question, your greatest strength is indeed your weakness in this concept. Now that I have bee thinking about it a minute, that is seemingly the case all of the way around. i.e., Hypothetically, someone were blessed with keen awareness that was most advantageous in prevent and/or solving conflict, but because of this keen awareness, also was aware of the unpleasant possibilities involved in using this gift, never used it. Or someone else getting promoted, by unanimous decision, to the highest position of responsibility during a life threatening crisis, and being afraid that they could not possibly be qualified enough, and that was the only responsible decision they made. One more. Or yet another that was the very depiction of being "integriteous" but the only reason they mastered this virtue is from being afraid of what other people thought.
Personally, I have gained a much broader perspective and I am so delighted to realize that my greatest strength is indeed my biggest weakness as well. However in knowing that, I hope to overcome this dichotomy. It is that delicate balance of things, governed by the universal laws, and it is a relief to know that I have equal power to a powerful weakness.

Your fear to use it is just that, a fear, and not necessarily a weakness. Fear can be a defense mechanism for something you're not ready to face. The responsibilities associated with this gift may be too much for you to handle at this moment making fear then, your strength.
There are aspects of this gift that obviously scare you. put yourself on the path of resolving these fears and you will eventually. And if this gift has to do with Clairvoyance or Clair-audience or the likes, stop watching scary movies.

Yeah, until you overcame the fear and learned to control the gift. Good luck with that.
