Why does every religion have a different name for their supreme being(s), but Christianity's deity is simply called "god"?

I'm aware of all of the nicknames of the Christian god, but the name that he goes by the most is "god."

The more godless this country becomes, the better it becomes. You dont believe me? Do your own research and type in students improving in any search box. Students have been improving ever since they took that god crap out of schools. Atheism is the key to happiness.

I met a girl that could only wear long skirts. Apparently it was because of her religion. I'm assuming it is some branch of Christianity because of what I know about her. She always has to wear shirts, even in gym and stuff. I'm just curious of what church this is. I also wanted to know why they reqired this. I mean, is it because they want to keep the 'cleaness' of the girl, kind of?

Some Muslims were told to drink camel urine, they became apostates and killed the shepherd. Mohammed had their hands and feet cut off, and their eyes burned out. Sunan Nasa’i vol.1 no.308-309 p.255-256. See also Bukhari vol.4 book 52 no.261 p.162

So Mohamed cut the hands and feet of fellow Muslims, and had their eyes burnt out because they refused to drink urine??? Doesn't seem very tolerant to me!!

As we down here, struggle for as long as we know. In search of a paradise to touch. Dreams are dreams, and reality seems to be the only place to go
The only place for us. I know, try to make the best of bad situations
Seems to be my life's story. Ain't no glory in pain, a soldier's story in vain
And can't nobody live this life for me. It's a ride y'all, a long hard ride

Somebody break me I'm dreamin, I started as a seed in the semen. Swimmin upstream, planted in the womb while screamin. On the top, was my pops, my momma screamin stop. From a single drop, this is what they got. Not to disrespect my peoples but my poppa was a loser. Only plan he had for momma was to f**k her and abuse her. Even as a little seed, I could see his plan for me. Stranded on welfare, another broken family. Now what was I to be, a product of this heated passion. Momma got pregnant, and poppa got a piece of a*s.

if i decided to marry some one whom is not my religion am i automatically going to hell? I highly doubt it. I mean its not like i married the person because of religion..so why would you try to persuade them into being something that they are not? not all unequally yoked marriages fail. Its all about the people and rather they want to make it work or not. They have to respect certain things. right? or am i wrong......i just wanna know what yall think...and please no talken about other religions (christianity is dumb, muslims are stupid ext.) or i will report your answer.

My family and I think lehi is an ideal place to live and would love to move there. We have three kids-ages 2, 8 ,and 10. We currently live in Simi Valley , Ca. Our friends and family are concerned that our children will be treated badly by the Mormon children , becuase we are not Mormon. And that when they become work-age , they might have less of a chance to get a job. I would like an oppinion on this. Thank you.

I think Atheists because most Atheists know more about different religions and Atheists want their children to know the problems that different beliefs have caused. On the other hand, Most Christians only know about christianity and some dont even know about that. Christians are most likely to not mention all the evil deeds that Christians have done throughout the years because they're in deneil so, they wont even accurately teach their children about christianity

If the devil was being used by God to punish the wicked, wouldn't the devil be working against himself? And tormenting people forever for getting drunk one night doesn't seem like a fitting punishment. If you think the devil is a creature with horns and a pitchfork, then you've been watching too many cartoons. The Bible says that no one is righteous and that you are saved by grace, so you can't bribe your way into heaven through good deeds. Salvation refers to the resurrection not to heaven, and people who aren't saved will simply not receive eternal life.

Why should I lie, when I can dramatize? ni**az fell victim to my lyrics, now I'm traumatized. Simply by spittin I've been blessed given riches, enemies suspicious cuz I'm seldom in the company of bi**hes. Plus the concepts I depict, so visual, that you can kiss each and every trick or bi**h, inside the s**t I kick. My heaviest words will move a mountain Casualties in mass amounts. Plus all my homies wanna die call it euthanasia. Dear Lord, look how sick this ghetto made us, sincerely yours I'm a thug, the product of a broken home Everybody's doped up, ni**a what you smokin on? Figure if we high they can train us but then America f**ked up and blamed us. I guess it's cuz we black that we targets. My only fear is God, I spit that hard s**t. In case you don't know, I'll let my pump go. I Ride for M'Thulu like I ride for Geronimo. Down to die, for everything I represent. Meant every word in my letter to the President

Abu Huraira reported: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said. When any one of you awakes up from sleep and performs ablution, he must clean his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the interior of his nose.

Is this true?

Once upon a time, most humans believed in different gods and goddesses, just as we (meaning, most humans) today believe in one God (whether they are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, etc.). Do you think that maybe these religions will become "Mythology" hundreds, maybe thousands of years from now?

This is basically to those who are always bashing the Christians who post. But I will also take answers from Christians too.
It would seem to me that the ones from other religions that tend to have this idea of tolerance are showing the most intolerant attitude. (This said knowing how some Christians have answered questions are sometimes the same way.)

I am truly wanting to know.

I have been having an affair with the pastor's wife for the past two years. Mary (not her real name) and I felt kind of bad about it for awhile. We have been sneaking around behind the pastor and all the church members. We have been successful in not being caught so far and are very much in love. Mary and I feel very blessed by God. We have prayed about it and feel that God understands, so we go on. We hope to get married some day. This pastor has been very verbally abusive toward my sweet lady and it's just not right. He also refuses to have sex with Mary. But we believe that the pastor has had several affairs of his own with some of the church ladies. They are always making personal appointments to see him in his office, alone! Including my ex-wife.

Tell me, how could God look at the love that Mary and I have and say it is sinful? And how could he not punish the pastor for being such an evil man?

God bless you for your sincere answer.
