In Genesis 3:22, it says that "Behold, then man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"-

Is it better to:
1) Live in constant fear of God, making sure you do what he wants, and never doing anything wrong. Working all the time to stop yourself going to hell.

OR 2) To live with no fear of what might happen as you only live once and its best to just have a good time, without worrying about what might happen if something which there is no evidence for (Hell) exists.

move or relocate their priests that prey on children to other locations rather than let them face the legal system on their own. i can't think of a single honest organization except the church that would shield these sick perverts from the law.

Since we've established that

1. God has a sense of humor (and more like THE sense of humor)

2. It's good to have a sense of humor

3. It's OK and maybe even good to laugh at our little mistakes, like bumping our head

Then... do you think that God laughs at those situations, too? I for one, would hope He's laughing so much He can't speak when I run into something or trip over my own feet.

Do you think He's secure enough to also find it funny when people are "blasphemous" - like when they say "Can God make a burrito so hot even He couldn't eat it?"

I mean, come on... He's got to laugh at that... it's the dumbest circular argument ever. Surely He's not up there getting all p'd off at such idiocy.

When did fundamentalist Christian America become "god" and find people unnacceptable who don't believe in Jesus.

They became their mythological charachter and took on his likes and dislikes. Why did they do that, and when, was it always like this?

i recently had an interesting dream that included a wise man (who coincidentally loved to bicycle). he told me a scenario and asked me what the son should do: a son invents a new, groundbreaking idea. however, his father notices the ideas, steals it for his own, and thereby become great and famous. what should the son do? should he expose his own father or should he be quiet? i have my own answer, but let us see who can approach captain hero's prowess in answering this question! the hero strikes again!
