I suspect that the main reason most Christians are not vocal about it is fear. For instance... look at the disparaging remarks in response to your question.

Some of the answers here is a real good reason.

But a lot of times it has to do with fear of rejection and the belief of I'm ok, your ok.

But many of us do. Though not as much as should be and not as many of us are willing to do so.

And in some cases like mine, I work in home missions working with teens.

But like I said a lot has to do with fear of rejection and not truly understanding that we would not go alone.

Because they should stay at home and leave me the hell alone. Get a life, please. Not everyone wants to believe in God or Jesus, angles or the God damned tooth fairy. I know I don't. Leave me alone.

And see, I can be respectful about it. I capitalized "God", didn't I? I didn't want to offend you or anything. When you ask me to believe and go to church and get baptized and all that jazz, it OFFENDS me.

That Jesus saved the world and he didn't need our help. Actions and faith of ours has nothing to do with it.

We are all God's.

I can scream at the top of my lungs but it's another thing to actually LIVE the life where others can see how fulfillling it is.

It's the best way to witness...
