When did fundamentalist Christian America become "god" and find people unnacceptable who don't believe in Jesus.

They became their mythological charachter and took on his likes and dislikes. Why did they do that, and when, was it always like this?

The one that always gets me is, that their own religion teaches to "love one's neighbor" and that only God has the right to judge; and yet so many (it is unfair to say all) feel a strong need to indeed express both judgement and condemnation for those that have opposing beliefs.

Are you going to Hell for not believing as they do? The truth is that no one knows. Some believe you will, some believe you might, and then there's those that do not believe in hell at all. (note the old testament does not contain a hell, hell was created by Christianity).

Each group of fundies also feels that their group alone has the "truth," so which one has the right "truth."

They cannot accept that odds are very good that none of them do. Because their own faith is not strong enough to handle that possibility.

So let them live their life in fear that an imperfect thought, mistake in judgement, or bad deed is somehow going to doom them to an eternity of brimstone and fire. If they genuinely believe in Hell then they will all be there to greet you because of their judgemental and self-righteous behavior is in and of itself, a serious sin.

They think they are superior, but fail to realize it is their own insecurities and fear that are showing and causing them to act as if "they" themselves were God and had the right to place a judgement only "HE" can make.

God NEVER disapproves of you. He may disapprove of your beliefs, thoughts or actions but NEVER of you. God loves ALL people! First of all, I am one of those who do believe in Jesus Christ! However, I also believe that we are not the ones who should be pointing a finger and shaking it at anyone. That is NOT what Jesus teaches! We are to love everyone and leave the judging to God!

Just be yourself. If you don't believe in God, then don't bother to spend time thinking about it. Life is more than just a nonsense belief. What difference does it make if you know God does exist or not, life won't change.

maybe Christians just don't want you to go to hell. no matter what you say or do god still loves you and one day you will stand before him whether you like to believe it or not.
if you don't believe in god why do you ask so many questions about him?
why do you say things about Christians then? maybe you care more than your willing to admit.

This question is the equivalent of sticking religious people with a hot poker. They will get mad, and react. I'm not sure the answers you get will be accurate.
