We all know the body can't live forever, so God is referring to our Souls (the only begotten son which is an image of God).
Being unable to resist temptation the Soul reincarnates again and again to fulfill all its desires until it can rightly say "Get thee behind me, Satan" [ Luke 4:8 ]
Then, having become a true Son of God, the Soul returns no more to the earth. "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out." [ Revelation 3:12 ]
So, in Genesis 3:22, God is saying that a Soul that gives in to temptation will live forever (reincarnate again and again). This never-ending misery will end only when an individual realizes his true nature as the Son of God and actively manifests this in his daily activities.
Of course the church says reincarnation is heresy, but who cares? It is only the Truth that matters.

A better question would be Who is God talking to????
In Genesis 3:22, it says that "Behold, then man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"-

There is nothing to indicate there was any fear anywhere but within Adam and Eve. Who hid in the bushes because of their nakedness and God had to make clothes for them, so they would come back out into the open..
What apparently was of concern was; the uninteded results were not what was designed to be. As a result of this knowledge, it appears there was a veil placed over the mind of men and is just now being opened so they can do things which were thought to be impossible for all these centuries. The veil has been rent (torn) and things are becoming visible, that have remained hidden for so many years.
In addition, there is information in that Book indicating there will be much dreaming and prophecying taking place in the latter times. Check out some of the dreams that are being mentioned in this format..Yahoo answeres!

Adam fell that man might be. Man is that he might have joy.
God did not want to allow Adam and Eve to life forever in their sin. God had already warned Adam that he would die if he ate from the tree. God wasn't making an ideal comment. If Adam couldn't keep the two commandments he was given, he would need to face physical death.
God had a plan so that they and their posterity (the other commandment) could gain eternal life. He would provide his son as a savior to atone for the sin.

He wasn't. But all wanted for man was good and not evil.
He allowed man to have a choice and man made it. He gained the knowledge of evil through disobedience. But God had everything in place for his returning to the state he left by eating the fruit.
Evil cannot be in the presence of God. So man as one who by choice became less than perfect, cannot be in front of God without dying because of the evil now in man. And as part of the punishment, man began to die. For disobedience there is always a consequence as I am sure you know. Therefore the tree of life had to be removed so that man can die and so that what he said would happen would happen. That in the day that man eats of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden he shall surely die.

evaluate that it really is a tale representing the oral custom of the pre-Abrahamic Hebrew human beings. the tale over the technique thousands or thousands of years develops a mythical element. in this sense, it explains why human beings do no longer at present stay in paradise with God - because those first created by utilizing God grew to change into adverse to him by utilizing ingesting from a tree of the information of robust and evil. They were to that end "punished" by utilizing being excommunicated from the backyard. The covenant God makes with Abraham supplies you to the Hebrews that the perfection of Eden will be restored by that covenant. to that end the punishment is taken under consideration as in person-friendly words momentary. for this reason the reason why the mythical element to the Eden narrative required that God end them from ingesting the tree of existence and therefore residing always - it became an indication that the punishment God gave became no longer eternal. in the adventure that that they had eaten the fruit from the tree of existence, then it could be a type that the punishment will be eternal, and there became no reconciliation with God. once you realize the importance that mythology performs in oral custom, you could understand the purpose of the Adam and Eve narrative. besides the undeniable fact that being that it really is oral custom, there in all probability became a tale on which those events are depending. yet how a lot historic previous is left nonetheless wrapped contained in the mythology is a controversy of serious ambiguity (as a Christian i'd anticipate the very bare bones - some human beings had a particular courting with God, and then lost that courting with the aid of sin).

That passage did not indicate that God was afraid. If you back up and read the preceding verses you would know that as a punishment God sentenced the defiant couple to death for disobedience. That is why He wanted to prevent them from continuing to eat from the tree of life. If they had not eaten from the forbidden fruit they would have lived forever.
The tree was symbolic of God's Authority. The man and woman had to follow God's rules. Much like our society. If you disobey the laws-you are penalized.Sometimes jailed and sentenced to death! Right?

God was not afraid of Man learning this. What God was trying to tell Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden was to truly trust inhim and he would take care of them foreve. The serpent (Satan) tempted Eve and she fell for this. This is where sin came in to play and this is when her and her husbands eyes were opened and they knew then that they were naked, and the Lord knoew that Eve had disobeyed his word and his instructions and this is when Sin began and the world has stayed in Sin forever since.
The only way for a person to fully be free from Sin is to repent of their sins and trust and give their heart to the Lord and accept his gift of Salvation through the resurrected Christ that is in Heaven awaiting the triumphant entry of all his children at the @nd coming. He is coming and with the current status of the world it is not much longer.
Are you ready my friend?

In the Bible passages that describe the events that led to man's fall from God's grace, it was talking about the Original Sin. When Satan tempted Eve, what he did was lie to her, appealing to her pride that she would be god-like, knowing both good and evil, thus, becoming a god, herself, and thus, not needing God. It is the greatest lie of all human history. The part that Satan didn't tell her was that without God, without His grace, no one lives forever. She would not be god-like or become a god or anything like that. Satan had successly tripped up she and Adam, and condemned them to death. By tricking them into disobeying God, we ended up as we are today, sinful, weak, and foolish. We know the difference between good and evil, but we are by no means like God, or god-like. Left to ourselves, we are condemned to die, a nice little fact that Satan knew and purposefully left out.
Since then, God has saved us, through the blood of Jesus Christ. Pray. Pray to God often. Tell Him everything about yourself you can think of. He is waiting, BEGGING for you to talk to Him. You will find you can tell God things you think can't tell anyone else. He is the best friend and Father you'll ever have.
God bless,
Danny

God did not want mankind to seal his fate forever in sin. Because sinful nature had invaded their spirit, soul, and body, they had become tainted. For the man to then partake of the tree of Life, would be to cement his fate to that of a depraived life forever and without hope for Redemption.
Because man was removed from the Garden of Eden and forever barred to re-enter until Day of the Lord, after Judgement was complete and those found worthy by faith in the redemption of Christ Jesus propitiation on the Cross and whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life. Man will never be able to seal the fate of a condemned life.
It is only by the Salvation of Christ's sacrifice (God Himself dying for all mankind) that we are now free to allow God to give us new life (the uncreated life of God Himself) by a faith, unto eternal life. Which when we are found in the Book of Life, we will be free to eat of the Tree of Life and be found as God had made us (adam) in the first place prior to sin being introduced.
