Along with all other kinds of sexual immorality, sex before marriage / premarital sex is repeatedly condemned in Scripture (Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13,18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7).
The Bible promotes abstinence before marriage. Sex before marriage is just as wrong as adultery and other forms of sexual immorality, because they all involve having sex with someone you are not married to. Sex between a husband and his wife is the only form of sexual relations that God approves of (Hebrews 13:4).

Although by the corrupt moral standards of today's permissive society premarital
and extramarital sex are considered acceptable and blameless in the eyes of man,
nevertheless, the Word of God clearly declares that God (Who never changes –
Malachi 3:6) considers it sin.
Genesis 20:9 "a great sin"
Genesis 34:7 "which thing ought not to be done"--
2 Samuel 13:12
Jeremiah 13:27
Ezekiel 16:3-22
1 Corinthians 6:18
2 Corinthians 12:21

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fornication
The words "pre-marital sex are not in the Bible. However that does not mean its OK... the Bible word for it is fornication!
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body
1 Thesselonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

The bible is a shitty guide in this case cause it treats women as the property of first her father then if he pays enough, her husband."If you lay an unengaged virgin then you gotta buy her from her father" one anwser said. And, though the term is "dowery" it comes dowm to the same thing, a purchase. I think you should abstain for better reasons than what some madman says god told him 4000 years ago.

It says that if you do then you have to get married.
Exodus 22:16 "If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife.
Deuteronomy 22:28 "If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found, 29 then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her. He may not divorce her all his days.
That's why Paul told people to get married and then have sex.
1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. 3 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

It implies it in Genesis, where it says, "For this reason a man will cleave to his wife and they will become one flesh." That's pretty much what happens in sex.

"Thou shalt not commit adultery." makes it pretty clear! Adultery is any sexual act outside of marriage. Jesus, in the NT, later expanded on this, saying that anyone who lusted after someone else was committing adultery in his/her heart.

Love one another...the rest will follow.
