Muslims in Muslim nations are taught that America is a Christian nation, and also the Koran teaches that if a Muslim kills an infidel, or if they are killed fighting infidels they will instantly be rewarded with paradise.
Islam teaches that salvation is uncertain, and that it is up to Allah whether they will go to heaven or not, they cannot tell. However, by fighting infidels, they believe that they have a 100% gaurantee into paradise
So rather than risking it into paradise by trying to live a good life, they feel that giving up their lives to Allah by dying in a fight to kill infidels will assure them an eternity in sensual pleasure

Why do some people believe that America, a country under God, is right to kill anyone if it's living under Jesus' example?
Fundamental difference in Christianity and Islam:
Christianity = all life is precious. Do not kill.
Islam = Death is permitted if you are serving god's will. (Hint: humans do not know if they are or not until they die, just like in Christianity.)
The problem isn't with the religion of Islam, it's with people who are that desperate enough to try something that foolish to risk their life over. In truth, if someone in America felt that way and was a Christian, would they do as they would if they were born in an Arabic nation and believed in Islam?
In this world, I'd answer yes. Compulsion is the basic problem. People kill to right perceived wrongs, so the question we need to ask is why others kill for reward, but why kill in the first place. Answer that, and you answer this supposed 'conflict' between western religion and middle-eastern religion.

A jihad is a religious war against infidels. Infidels can be seen as any foreign influence that is determined to undermine their way of life. In Islam, namely the Quran, teaches that if you die while in a jihad you will be sent to heaven where 7 virgins will greet you. (Some say it is not 7 virgins, but 7 grapes or current berries.) Either way, if you fight for the jihad you are almost certainly guaranteed a place in heaven. Unfortunately that means killing American soldiers at this point in time. At one time it meant killing Christian Crusaders in the first, second and third Crusades.

By killing non-muslims if they do not convert, is the rigtht phrase to your question.
It is all in the Koran and all someone has to do it is to read certain passages out of the Koran and behold they can become a terrorist overnight. Someone has reported me as an internet abuser for pointing this out, The following website is an antimuslim websit, but it has put verses in the appropriate context treating everything above board, and ending up on the anti side of Islam. I point this out to wakeup us americans so it can be dealt with in a democratic fashion, rather than the information be buried without looking at what motives hatred of americans by others who do not share our values.

some people misunderstood their religion. however, if ANY OF YOU actually dare to just a serious real question or wanna have a decent real coversation ,i'm right here to answer or to have a chit chat with you.
so, before you smart people go and bash on my religion, please be smart enough to know what you're talking about. give me one clue taken from Sunnah or Quran that support any of what you claim, then i can actually believe that you have a thing to say. however, if you notice, when muslims here try to make any comment, we dnt have to make up lies or any kind of bullsh*t that dnt exist, we say what your bible say and we just ask how you believe in such thing! so.. try again with a smarter excuse please

For the same reason americans are killing people in other countries.
The tought that US democracy model should be apllied to INDEPENDENT countries by force, is not different than thinking that one infidel death should take you to paradise.

Excellent question. Even better why would they believe there will be one, let alone 72 virgins waiting for them.
The earth is way to populated for there to be that kind of ratio of virgins in heaven.
Of course, what fun would they be...I mean they stayed virgins in their earthly life, who says they will change in the afterlife. In fact, 72 virgins may be the perfect hell for these crazed suicide bombers.
