This is basically to those who are always bashing the Christians who post. But I will also take answers from Christians too.
It would seem to me that the ones from other religions that tend to have this idea of tolerance are showing the most intolerant attitude. (This said knowing how some Christians have answered questions are sometimes the same way.)

I am truly wanting to know.

I have made mention of this in the main question. That yes unfortunately some of the Christians have done the same thing.

And just as clarification:
I have been called a snob (because of the way I worded a question), jerk, a male body part. Would this not constitute hate?

And no I do not let it bother me, I have no reason to be bothered by these things said in my direction.

It is human nature to strike out at Gods Word.People don't like to hear
God's Word because it cut your heart to the bottom and you see a True
Picture of your wretchedness before a Holy God.The natural man loves to have his ears tickled into thinking that he is not as bad as he really is
and with a little obedience to rules and regulations man can pick himself
up by his own bootstraps.Man likes his perverted sex desires be fulfilled by earning seven virgins(why would a eleven year old child do
with seven virgins anyway?) I still am flabbergasted at a parent teaching
their eleven year old boy or girl to strap some kind of explosive on their
body and blow away innocent bystanders and take their own lives in a
sinful ungodly manner sending their soul to hell..That is why Christians
get zealous sometimes because we want everybody to hear the Good News God Loves Them and has made a way that through FAITH they
can make it to heaven by letting Jesus take their punishment they
deserve and receive ETERNAL LIFE in heaven with God.

don't look at me.. b/c i am wondering the same thing about why people are being so rude to christians on here.. but one of the reasons might be because they are scared for some reason...or something.. you never know.. they may have problems that they are not able to deal with on their own.. and they have not accepted God and Jesus into their lives to be able to help them. Because as you know christians can rest assured b/c they have God on their sides who will help them through all trials and tribulations.. But to answer your question.. i really am not too sure.. so sorry if this response made no sense or just seemed a little out there at one point or another...(by the way i am a christian)

This is an open forum where people can freely express their views. Though some questions and answers are vulgar, if we leave them aside you are going to run into folks who are going to bash one group or another. I've seen a lot of gay bashing going on here. Then there are the racist questions and answers. I'd rather those who hate or bash Christians speak their minds. Then I can do my best to refute them and I can pray for them. It saddens me that they don't believe because I know I won't be seeing them in heaven. So, I pray for them, even when they ask that we don't pray for them. I pray, too, that I have planted a seed that God will nurture and someday these folks will have a change of heart and turn to God.

This is just my opinion but I think that some of the people you mention just feel threatened by Christians.. Christians have a belief and a faith that threatens their view of life. Some people set themselves up as their own gods, don't have to answer to any God, can make their own choices, can act in accordance with their own view of right and wrong and not have to answer to anyone whereas, Christians profess to believe in a God who gives us His commandments to live by and Love is the basis of all that Jesus came to teach us. Jesus also told us all to preach the Good News of His Kingdom and many people resent any interference with their belief system because they decide how they will be, not some abstract idea that can't be proven to them to their satisfaction. Faith is a gift from God, and many are without it. There is, in our culture today, "freedom" to take the life of innocent unborn babies, euthanasia, sexual immorality, drugs, etc...all of which would be lost if they chose God and become subject to Him....not themselves. They truly do not understand that what they have is "licence", not freedom.

Because talking to a Christian is just like talking to an idiot, who says all sorts of ridiculous things, and never seems to have the faintest idea of what he is talking about. It is very frustrating for an intelligent person to talk to a Christian, and find the Christian is totally unable to consider and understand anything that you say. After a few minutes of talking to a Christian, one fears that he will go crazy too.

I think that a lot of people on this site see questions that are blatantly... Christian (and they couldn't flame them if they didn't know they were Christian) as sad attempts at Evangelclisim. This site is for questions and answers and even though "Do you know Jesus and why?" is technically a question most people resent the fact that its really just an advertisment.

Dude, if there are people bashing other religions it is only out of ignorance. People just say what they are taught and think they are the "experts" and the real experts like monks, priest, and scholars will tell you that there is more to worry about yourself than there is on other religions. Pretty much people are saying bogus things just to make themselves feel more secure and remind themselves that they are the experts and they are a person worthy of that rank.

that's a good question, and i noticed that too. i encounter a contempt for religious or Christian people a lot in intellectual-type people. honestly, christianity isn't perfect, as is any other religious body. maybe when religious people stop being hypocrites and follow their teachings, then people will have more respect for them. (not saying that all religious people are like that) also, people need to feel that religion is logical and just. if there is one god, then he is the god of everyone, including intellectual types. his word must satisfy them too.

What you calling "hate?" People disagreeing with you?

There are idiots of all persuasions on Yahoo! and every other community site on the Internet, and mud flies from all directions. Grow a thicker skin or leave. Sheesh.
