And for such a long time....it seems like good things don't ever happen.

A poem I wrote:

Whenever you’re troubled, in a state of dismay
And you think that your problem is here to stay
It seems like forever, it will continue to last
On the contrary, always remember it came to pass
That job you must do, that test you must take
That unfinished chore or unwanted mistake
The fact that your teacher kicked you out of the class
Always remember, it came to pass
The fight with you mother, the food on you plate
The blueberry muffin, or cheesecake you ate
That pain that you're feeling, that big stash 'o cash
Always remember it came to pass.
That pain in you heart, the grief in you soul
The feelings you feel when you can’t reach your goal
This life you live, that you think’s gonna last
ALWAYS remember, it came to pass

Nothing is here to stay, I'll pray for you.

When I go through a long period of intense physical or emotional pain I trust that somehow God is going to use it for good for me or someone else. And I do a lot of praying! Sometimes so many bad things happen that it seems like there is never any good. In my 52 years on this planet I've seen some really dark times. But I've lived long enough to know that eventually the sun does shine. I pray this is so for you! God bless!

Jen

bad things happen....I am 46 years old and one thing I have learned When bad things happen good things are usually arond the corner

I am writing a story to post on my website
www.jaxconnect.com in the next week

Several years ago my son was hit by a car and was in a coma. We didn't know if he would survive. Weeks later he still in coma I start to go to work and find out car was repo'ed and when a got to work I had a call from a close friends employer telling me tht he had a massive heart attack

But as bad as things looked the clouds parted and the sun shine and I went from being in he valley to standing on a mountain

If anyone thinks that I am spamming by mentioning my website I do apologize

Look how long Moses was exiled from the people of God, David running from Saul who wanted him dead, Joseph in Egypt as a slave and then was thrown in prison for years for something he didn't do. Many have gone down a long hard path so take hope from them. Job is the classic example who lost everything and also suffered tremendously with boils even on his feet. What does the scripture say?
James 5:11
Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
Hang in there and ask away. Many here will try to help as e-friends.

How could we possibly appreciate the good things that happen.., how would we ever know the good days that happen - if it were not for the bad?

When we get so wrapped up in ourselves - most of our suffering is when we compare our lives to others. And if we could peek into the private lives of these others, we may be startled to see they are not as happy as they seem.

Then too - there is always - and I mean ALWAYS - someone worse off than we are. In Africa are families starving to death. Children who are orphaned by power mad war-lords, and are starving to death with no place to call home or a soft bed to sleep in.

You are blessed - and that is enough. God loves you.

Sweetheart, bad things happen to good people all the time...and it seems to go in cycles. Things will get better soon..I have to believe that...Cause I am right there with you. In the past week, My lover was diagnosed with Lung Cancer...we had NOT a clue. I came home and found my dog dying of congestive heart failure..I love that dog so much, he is only 10, and I have had him at my side since he was 8 weeks old. My dearest friend was diagnosed with Brain Cancer...on top of his Diabetes, kidney failure and Parkisons....my brother called an informed me that he has prostate cancer. Everyone around me that I love is in various stages of dying! And my older son decided that I didn't have enough on my shoulders, so he created a big scene and isn't speaking to me. Good luck..things will be better tomorrow. OH...and this is in no way a joke. I sincerely hope your past week has been better than mine.

Hebrews 12:3
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Matthew 5 is my favorite book of the Bible. The Message Bible has this translation... You are blessed when you are at the end of your rope, there is less of you and more of Me.

I have been in your shoes before, the only truth that I can give you is that God has a perfect plan for you. Ask Him to show you what His will is. Know in your heart that you are being put through the fire and you have the opportunity to build character. It is tough but it is so worth it. Pray for strength.

First, please see a professional psychiatrist or psychologist to get some counselling/therapy and possibly medication, if you are not already.

Next please read a book that liberated me and allowed me to find renewed joy in life, called Conversations with God, by Neale Donald Walsch. It turned out to be so much more than I thought, upon first hearing of it. A family friend gave it to me to read and I just let it sit there for about a month, thinking it would be preachy. It changed my whole view on life and started me down a path of ongoing study and research and gave me the impetus I needed to shed the confines of organized religion and come to my own conclusions about life. And I have concluded that it is AMAZING!!
