If the devil was being used by God to punish the wicked, wouldn't the devil be working against himself? And tormenting people forever for getting drunk one night doesn't seem like a fitting punishment. If you think the devil is a creature with horns and a pitchfork, then you've been watching too many cartoons. The Bible says that no one is righteous and that you are saved by grace, so you can't bribe your way into heaven through good deeds. Salvation refers to the resurrection not to heaven, and people who aren't saved will simply not receive eternal life.

The only way to the Father is through the Son...believe what you like to believe but all will know the truth in the end.

God doesn't need a devil to punish anyone. He can do it all by himself. Satan will get what he deserves. The Bible teaches that both heaven and hell exist. Hell was prepared for Satan and the fallen angels. However man who reject God will also end up there. Jesus talked more about hell than he did heaven. But He also said he was going to prepare a place for the righteous. Whatevery you may suffer down here is not even close to hell. Satan is not a creature with horns and a pitchfork. The Bible describes him as an 'angel of light'...he was beautiful...and that beauty often decieves. That is his nature. He is a liar, deciever and there is no truth in Him. There are some interesting books out there written about people's NDE (near death experiences) and some experience hell while others experienced heaven. Some even had both. You'll get all the proof you need when you die....but I would not want to wait that long... Choose to live for God now...and know for certain that if you die tonight you will to be with Him forever!

The Devil is an invention. A bogey man created to keep Believers in line. If you believe in God, then you have to believe in the Devil. You cannot have all good unless you recognize evil, because If there was no evil, you wouldn't know what good was. You cannot have day without night, black without white, hot without cold; or God without the devil.

Just like George Bush had to have terrorists to impress the nation with his own supposed goodness.

There is no proof that you die and go to heaven or hell. Any answer by anyone would be pure speculation. Christians will likely pull out the Bible and say "see, it's right here in the book!" But, the error there is that no one can say unequivocally that there is any truth in the Bible. If you point that out to them, they will say "faith is believing in things that you cannot see." Great argument!

In answer to your question...There is no way anyone can prove either condition. But, I would be willing to bet that there are a lot who claim to be Christians only do so for the insurance that maybe they will live again. The problem there is that, if there is an all-knowing God, he/she will know that you're lying.

I respectfully disagree with you. There is a heaven and a hell and at the end of time, we will either be in heaven, or hell FOREVER. Satan, is not creature with horns and a pitchfork, but a spirit (fallen angel) and he is the father of all lies. We have all been saved by the Blood of Christ but that does not guarantee us salvation. Jesus took upon Himself the sins of humanity and died on the cross to offer us forgiveness and salvation but we need to follow His example and love and forgive each other and His grace can be lost within ourselves if we do not do so and reject His teachings. I do not believe in the "once saved....always saved" theology....Yes, we are given grace but we must live in accordance with His will and cooperate with the grace within us.

1. God does not use the Devil to punish people HE uses the Holy Spirit to try and get them to repent
2. Sin only wage is death Just as one bite from a lethal snake is enough to kill you.
3. We are saved by faith in Christ by Grace alone
4. Salvation is a present, on going, future hope. It is started with a prayer ending with your entrance into heaven.

It's the devil's job to TEMPT us into sin. "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" is in the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. The devil tempts us with lies and deceit, to win more souls and prove to God that he is the most powerful. The reason that he was kicked out of heaven was that he thought he was as powerful than God. God did not assign him with the "job" of punishing the wicked...he just does it for kicks.

I also do not believe that good people go to hell, even if they get drunk one night. People make mistakes and if they are repentant and atone for their misdeeds then they are not exempt from heaven. Not everyone believes in God or Jesus. It is just a cultural difference. It does not mean that they are evil, or that they are doomed to hell.

Buddhists and Muslims are very devout people. They have very strict standards to adhere to. If they do their best to stick to these tenets, they certainly do not deserve to go to hell. "God" is known by many names in this culturally diverse world, and I am sure that God makes room for all of his believers in heaven, no matter what "flavor" their religion is.

God is still God, no matter by which name you call him in your religion. As long as they seek Him, then they will get to see him. After all, it also says in the bible, that there is only one unforgivable sin. That is probably the one that will keep you out of heaven. Everything else can be forgiven.

IF YOU DO DIE THEN YOU DO GO TO HELL SINCE HELL MEANS (((THE GRAVE ))) HOW EVER YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE RESURRECTIONS. THERE IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION FOR THOSE WHO KEEP GODS LAWS IN THIS LIFE AND A SECOND RESURRECTION FOR EVERYONE ELSE AFTER WE RIEGN ON THIS EARTH WITH CHRIST 1000 YEARS. DURING THE SECOND RESURRECTION ALL THOSE WHO DID NOT ACCEPT CHRIST IN THIS LIFE WILL BE GIVEN A CHANCE TO THEN. AND THERE WILL BE SOME EVEN THEN THAT WILL NOT ACCEPT CHRIST AND FOR THEM IS WHAT IS CALLED THE SECOND DEATH IN GEHENNA FIRE WHICH WILL BURN YOU TO ASH ALMOST INSTANTLY AND YOU WILL BE NONEXISTENT.
Re 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Re 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Re 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

"Many who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awaken; some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt." Daniel 12.

If you love someone, and you do nice, sweet little things for them, is that bribing them or just expressing your appreciation for them? That's what good deeds are all about.

Adam sold all his descendants into slavery to satan, forever. You assume that we are all right and that we are punished for doing wrong. But we are doomed from birth, and Jesus is good and kind to provide a way out from that. If we are too dumb to take advantage of His generosity, how does that make Him mean and nasty?

I have never believed in the concept of satan, or hell or evil. I think that these are all man-made constructs designed by early male religious leaders in order to promote their patriarchal agenda to control the masses through fear. Believing in the myth of satan is believing that God is not all powerful or all loving. It is doubting your faith in God and believing that there is actually a war that God could not win. Not possible.

We are all eternal souls, created as a perfect individuation of God, the formless genderless process of life itself. We will all return to the spiritual dimension from whence we came at the end of this physical incarnation, just as we did from all our previous physical incarnations before this one.
