The burning bush was burning with a flame that didn't consume the bush. The same type of flame that was mentioned in Acts at Pentecost. The flame at Pentecost was the Holy Spirit. I think the Holy Spirit appeared to Moses to speak to him about what God wanted him to do to free his people. So, there was really no flame to extinguish. When the Holy Spirit withdrew from the bush, the flame was gone.

that was Jehovah God. Moses did not extinguish the bush. Moses did not see Jehovah face but seen his back.
