So Jesus was Jehovah ?
what would be the purpose of GOd himself coming down to save humanity when it was two humans who messed it up?
If Jesus was God then was He still human? can God really be a human?
This is a serious question I'm not being sarcastic

Jehovah witlesses would have you believe that God and Jesus are separate.

Infact JW's would have you believe that Jesus is infact the Archangel Michael!

God is one in three persons - the trinity. Jesus would not have to power to do the things he did if he wasn't God.

He wouldn't be sitting at the right hand of the Father to be worshipped by Angels and the like if he wasn't God because Angels are forbidden to worship anyone other than God and they wouldn't worship another angel would they?

The original sin by Adam and Eve was necessary and we are saved through Jesus Christ. To get to the Kingdom of Heaven is not meant to be easy.

Jesus was God made flesh - the deity of Jesus and we are saved through his physical resurrection.

Yes, Jesus is Jehovah. He, himself said that He is. When He was asked to identify Himself, He stated I AM.(the same name He used when identifying Himself to Moses) The Jews of that day understood perfectly well that he was calling Himself Jehovah, so much so that they picked up rocks to stone Him to death. Just so that He (Jesus) could clarify it further He even stated that the father of the Jewish faith, Abraham, rejoiced to see His coming. Of course this was a prophecy of the fact that Jehovah Himself would come to Earth to take away the walls (sin) that separate us from having a relationship with Him. This is part of a lengthy discussion. You can be certain that Jesus is Jehovah or that He lied. Those are the only two choices.

The reason for Jehovah to come to earth was that no one else was pure or sinless. Follow me here to the time when Jesus came...we (all people) have a bent toward sin. You only have to be a parent of a 2 year old to figure that out. Who teaches the two year old to be disobedient or yell “no” back at you? It just comes naturally. We are natural men, women and children. How did we get that way? It is a change that occurred because of a defective choice made by Adam and Eve. They were created perfect and good and with free choice (they were not robots). They did not choose wisely! This bad choice caused a mutation in all other human beings born after the event. That day (the day of the choice) all mankind lost its ability to walk in the garden as a friend of God. What a sad day. We became ashamed and hid ourselves from God. God has been seeking us ever since. Why, because He really wants to have a relationship with us as His children. Just like any parent/child relationship.

Who should come and fix the broken human being and make it so that he can once again speak with God as his friend? Shouldn’t it be God Himself? Or better yet, how about the one who created the man in the first place? This is Jehovah, the beginning and the end, the first and the last the ALMIGHTY, the I AM. The owner of the name at which every knee will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Jehovah God to the Glory of the Father.

There is more…..

Jehovah (actually Yahweh) is the name of the covenant God of Israel. He has a Triune nature, and each person in the Trinity has a different role. Without going into specifics about the overall Trinity doctrine, I will simply address how Jesus claimed to be Jehovah (Yahweh).

There are many times where Jesus said of Himself that He was the covenant God of Israel. He applied the name of God, "I AM," to Himself in several passages. Here's a few examples: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. (Please note these are literal from the Greek.) There are several others I have not listed.

Besides this, Jesus said that He & the Father were one (John 10:30). This describes a unity, even though there are two.

Yes Jesus was and is still God/Jehovah.

If you take a look at the sacrifices in the old testament you will see that something that did not commit sin had to die in order for sin to be forgiven for a short time. God Himself as Jesus who was both man and God had to be sinless. That is though Jesus had to go through every single thing that man did and still does today in relation to temptation, He would be able to overcome them because of the part of Him was God. If you take a look at the books of Matthew and Luke, Joseph had nothing to do with the the conception of Jesus. Sin is transmitted through men. So though He was a man he does not have the sin nature that is prevalent in everyone else.

And as for two humans bringing sin into the world, that is false. God did not show up until after Adam took the fruit. The was Adams and not Eves.

No, Jesus was not Jehovah. There are three persons in the triune God. Jesus is the second person, whether in the flesh or in spirit. Jehovah is the same as God (the father) or the first person, who is always spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person. Don't try to understand-no one has yet. The second person became a man which was Jesus. Jesus is God-completely God, and completely man. There was a reason He had to be a man. Even If I could explain it-you would not grasp it. If you study Christian Theology- you may understand.

I don't know if Jesus was actually Jehovah, but the purpose that God himself came down here to save humanity was that all the humans in this world are children that he himself made at the beginning of the world, and he loves them unconditionally.

Many are confused because of the false pagan teaching of the "trinity" whereby God is God,the Son is God,and the Holy Spirit is God.This however is not a Bible teaching. It was fused into apostate Christianity in the fourth century of our common era.
At Mat.16:15,16 Jesus asks his disciples who do they think he is and Simon Peter answers "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."Note that Simon Peter didn't say You ARE God.They recognised that Jesus was God's son and that Jehovah God was Almighty God.
John 3:16 "God loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son,in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."
Jesus was the first born of all creation.(Col,1:15.Whereas Jehovah God is eternal and has no
beginning.(Ps.90:2;Rev.15:3)
Even Jesus pointed to God as the Source of his life, saying "I live because of the Father"(John 6:57)
There are countless scriptures to disprove that Jehovah and Jesus are one and the same.
If you are genuinely interested why not visit your local kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, who would be only too happy to conduct a free home bible study with you.
It will end all the confusion for you and you will have the opportunity to gain accurate knowledge about Jehovah God,His Son Jesus Christ and the many many wonderful blessings in store for obedient mankind. You have nothing to lose, but everything to gain

Yes, God can be a human. He can be anything He wants. He's God! What messed everything up was Satan's lie. Satan deceived Adam and Eve, he lied to them, and made them believe they could be like God if they disobeyed Him. This is how sin came into the world, and this is how everything got so messed up.

In order to save us from that sin, God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. Jesus was the one perfect sacrifice needed to pay for all our sins. This way, we can now get to heaven, but only through Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God. He is the second peson of the Holy Trinity. When He came down from heaven and was born of the Blessed Virgin Mary, He became a man. He was both God and man.

i don't know if Jesus was Jehovah ,but i believe that he was a super good person who is A son of god since he had all the qualities of god ! he him self said something like if you truly know me we are brothers not master and disciple (equality,so he is not the actual god) purpose him coming down when the two humans messed
it up is in my view is that life is game like you play tomb raider god is playing human game !!! there has to be a hero !!!
last Q Jesus was human but his spirit was from heaven !
human is a reflection of god !!! if there were no humans to understand god there would be no such thing as god !
so the creator and the creation go hand in hand !

Jehovah and Jesus are two different spirits. Jehovah is the Father and Jesus is Jehovah's first creation. they are not the same. no one has seen Jehovah but they seen Jesus Christ. even Jesus asked the disciples and they said he was the son of the Most High Jehovah. God never came to earth in human but Jesus did. Jehovah God, Jesus and the Holy spirit on not the same. Jehovah is God, Jesus is the son, and the Holy Spirit is Jehovah's active force. who was Jesus praying to, not himself, you can not pray to yourself. he was praying to his Father Jehovah in heaven. when Jesus said you seen me you seen the father, he meant that Jesus was with Jehovah for billions of years and he knows the Father real well. people read the bible wrong and they don't want t learn the truth. remember the truth will set you free. learn from a Jehovah Witness. we study the bible everyday.

Correct Jesus was Jehovah of the old Testament. The Reason that God needed to atone for the sins of his people. The atonement could only be performed by God himself.
