Why would this girl do these things?
She (iranian) came with her friend(or boyfriend)(iranian culture)?and her brother at to the gym, they went to workoout in a different section, when she saw me walking in her area, she primped and looked in the mirror. Also, when i went back to my machine,i saw her sneak a peak in my direction. I know her by the way.I didn't oblige because i don't trust them.I just ignored her and acted like she didn't exist. What vibes am i sending out?

We are off to a New Years Eve dinner party at a hotel. It is 'formal wear', so hubby will wear a suit and tie (not black tie). Will I be ok in a pair of black trousers and a silky top? Don't really want to wear a dress.

I'm 20 and usually get mistaken for being anywhere from 16 to18, and sometimes even younger. I even got stopped at a bar once, gosh! Maybe it isn't so much of a good thing. lol.

And I always find myself opening up to anyone too, even though I'm really shy and quiet. And then I usually end up getting hurt by whatever they say or think, but that's just being sensitive. I guess I'm just a late bloomer, and still trying to find out who I am.. -_-

What do you think of a guy who's like that?
Here's a pic..

He cracks jokes about minority racial groups, makes fun of people living in low-income housing, etc. Many of my co-workers and I don't find this humorous. What can we do without jeopardizing our jobs?

My friends and I went to see the new Will Smith movie tonight and we had to get our money back and leave (along with a whole bunch of other people) because there was a group of like 5 black kids that were making too much noise.

The thing is - the manager refused to go up and tell the kids to be quiet or leave... he was utterly terrified of having a confrontation with them.

If the noisey kids had been white, he wouldn't have hesitated and they would have quieted down right away.

I told them to shut up (and they didn't) but it should have been the manager.

What makes someone so scared of black people that they won't even try to do their job whereas black folks are involved?

We pulled names in our family as secret santa to purchase one person a gift. Me and my husband are on a tight budget and purchased our gifts as gift cards $15 - $ 25 dollars. When I presented my gift to my person, she was upset cause the amount was not $50 dollars and up. I told her that I was on a budget and if she did not like it, to give it back. The reason I said this was because while I step out the house for a while, she discussed her issue with other family members and not me. She kept saying that the least was $50.00 and If I couldn't afford it, I should not have participated. I told her I did not know that the least was $50. Me and my husband was upset cause we had already told her about our situation. Then she just started talking about it with the family. I was so upset that I told her that I thought she was being silly, immature, and ungrateful. I also told her that I would never pull names again with her. Was I too mean? I feel bad.

We don't want them to come along as they have small children who are very annoying. My mum thinks we should stay home but i think that is unfair as they didn't even ask if we would be home. I think we should tell them that we won't be home and leave it at that. What do you think is the right thing to do?

reason at the holiday times my family thinks that I am going to eat pork because its the holidays. I stopped eating pork (& beef) over 10 yrs ago and haven't gone back since. 1st I stopped because it just didn't taste good to me anymore, but after reading what pork (& meat) does to your body I don't make any exceptions. My brother gets mad at me because I don't eat pork, he always makes our holiday meals & for some reason, it has to have bacon in it or pork as the main dish. Everytime, and he asks me why I don't eat it & I tell him every year & its getting tiring. He acts like he can talk me into eating pork, he thinks I'm being silly, but I don't want to eat it. So please give me some suggestions on how to nicely explain to him once and for all no pork for me thanks.

I'm a junior football player. I play offensive line, so I'm kinda big, but I lift in the offseason, so it's not all fat. My leg strength is considered above average and I'm probably Top 10 in the school when it comes to leg strength. But my bench is considered average. So I have a killer lower body (so I'm told) but an average upper body (what girls notice more).

She's a sophomore cheerleader, and a good friend of my good friend's girlfriend. I've never seen her at school before, but my good friend was talking about her being single (the team tries to get me a gf now and then). I saw her pic on Facebook (apparently we're friends) and I was blown away.

But as I said, I've never seen her before at school. I don't know any of her classes or where her locker is or anything like that.

So how should I try to get to know her? In person? On Facebook? How? What do I say?

I only have one chance for a good first impression, so I NEED to make it memorable.

This contract staff has been cheating with his hours spent at work. Many times, he would come in late and leave early. A logged in and logged out form was just recently placed for him to use. On Mondays, I was discreetly asked by my manager to " look out " that the policy is being use. One Monday, he logged in at 1:20pm, so I expect him to logged out at 5:20. He works 4h. I went back to the office at 5:10 and he was gone but he wrote he logged out at 5:20. Ten minutes gap. To me it's not a big deal, but he lied! So I wrote beside his logged out time, 5:10 and my initial. Maybe he left much earlier but I don't know. The reason I went back at 5:10, because I expect him to still be there at that time. He will see what I did the next time he's in. I want everything in the open that's why I wrote the time and my initial. How would you react if you got caught?

...and my boss accepted it. 3 days before my last day, she told my colleague to talk to me and ordered me to work for another 2 weeks because I am suppose to give a 1 month notice. Failure to do so will cause a deduction from salary. So even though I’ve worked for one month, I’ll paid half. Either way, I’ll be working 2 weeks for free!

I am just bummed that my boss doesn’t have the decency to talk to me face-to-face or earlier when I gave the resignation letter to her. But I felt like I’m being place in a losing situation.

My 3 months probation is over and they did not give any confirmation letter to me after my probation. And my colleague told me, I’ve to assume I’m accepted.

Another thing, I’m in a process of being evaluated for a position in an aviation company. There will be test and 2 panel interviews. Either way, I have to ask for frequent leaves from work. And that wouldn’t look so good either.

Please advise!

I live near a little liquor store and anytime I run out of one or two things, I just walk the two blocks there to grab them. The owner is a very nice man, but he has one flaw in his business plan: he tends to give the wrong change! I don't mind this too much because I've learned to pay attention to him and count it when he hands it back. But yesterday he gave me change for a ten instead of a five, and I gave it back at the counter. The guy behind me was shocked, and as I started to leave he walked up and stage-whispered "I can't believe you actually gave that guy back his five!"

It got me thinking, what do most other people do? Is this like washing hands after using the restroom where everyone says they do but only 40% actually do? I'm just really curious. Be sure and tell me why you do what you do if you want best answer!

I have two annoying contact on my msn messenger. They constantly sign on and off, they don't reply when I say hi to them, they allways have a excuse to justify their childish behavior.
And they send me stupid jokes by email.
I'm planning to delete them, so the question is: should I inform them they are going to be removed, or should I just delete them without notice?
What do you think? What's the best do to?

I always feel like I have low confidence around people. I like the way I am and the way I look, but I just feel like I'm so shy and flustered in front of others and it looks so stupid as I am a grown woman. I should be witty and smart, not stuttering and flustered.

When guests are told that we'd like to eat by 4 because we have an early day tomorrow, and they're still not here at 6, at what point is it acceptable to go ahead and eat? I have called their cell 3 times and gotten voicemail- and they are the only guests we invited, so I can't use the "my other guests were hungry so we went ahead" excuse. I've spent all day cooking and we're starving.

I just don't understand how people can live while being in a coma ? I mean, basically your just laying there unconscious. I've heard of people laying in a coma's for months, yet once they wake up, they seem fine. How do they get fed ? How do they use bathroom...etc

It must be difficult for family and friends, to watch a loved one living through a coma.

Regards

Jordan
