I always feel like I have low confidence around people. I like the way I am and the way I look, but I just feel like I'm so shy and flustered in front of others and it looks so stupid as I am a grown woman. I should be witty and smart, not stuttering and flustered.

a huge part of it, is your self talk. So you can combat that by being your own best friend. When I do something and I think 'GOD! No one says that word any more... I am so out of date!' I immediately stop myself and think 'WOW, lol. I am SO good at expressing myself!"

Wear red !

If you are not confident you first have to blag it (pretend you are). Once you start acting self confidently your subconscious mind will believe you are confident and then you will become confident.

When you go out relax in a bubble bath and repeat these mantras "I am beautiful and everyone loves me" I love people and they love me" "I am popular and well liked"

Get dressed and make sure you look perfect and have the right outfit to fit the occasion and make-up to match. Greet everyone with a huge smile and a warm greeting and just be yourself.

Red is the colour of confidence and passion. People will gravitate to the colour and presume if you wear it you are a confident person and they will then treat you as a confident person.

Nothing breeds success like success. Once you have altered your behaviour even by pretending you can do it gain and again. Live the way you want to be.

There are numerous things you can do. Take classes in public speaking or spend some time with a psychologist to find out why you have trouble with people publicly. It all takes time and practice to learn how to be more savvy in public so one or the other or both should help you work it out. Get involved in groups where you have to give presentations and be more out there. Do anything that will give you more practice and eventually you will get the credibility to give you more confidence. And do things that you are comfortable with and have knowledge about. I got involved in theater when I was young and it did wonders for my confidence. It was hard at first but everything is that is worth it.

you shouldn't be anything you don't want to be. our media and culture tells us that you need to be this way or that way to be cool. you can be cool and confidant, if you are realize that you are real. do not be a copycat like everyone, be an original. you have your authenticity, flaunt it.
