What should I do

2007-12-24 12:37:05 · 7 answers · asked by Ann <3 1

So it's been about 8 years since I've dated. I'm 20 yrs old. I'm a full time college student with a part time job. I am not like your typical college party hardy girl. I love to go out & have fun, but with that I have morals & for that, I'm still a virgin. So, I'm very picky when it comes to guy, standards are high, but I try to be realistic. *At my job, I just started to get acquainted with a guy who is a couple months younger than I. Come to find out he has similar values. Since it's Christmas, it would suck to be alone for the holiday. He & I just flirt a lot & he seems to care about what I think and stuff, so we are interested in each other, but are just taking it one step at a time. We're discrete. I just found out he'll be alone for Xmas, as he& his dad are fighting& his mother, well, he hasn't spoken to her for a while. From what I understand, she's a very self-fish lady.
*Would it be wrong for me visit him tomorrow with food, so he can have company on Xmas?...

I will attempt to refrain from stirring the pot too, much. Is anyone else of like-mind. Shouldn't there be a cease-fire as others-suggests, if we can't be an example for our Government(s), who will. Your either with me, sorry....there I go again.....Peace, and good-will good Enquirers and Enquirees. Truce? Cease-fire? Warm-Fuzzies? All/none of the above? Etc.?

I have some very dear friends who send these Christmas letters out every year, designed to be so cutesy like a little corporate newsletter and cheery graphics--there's even a column written by their cat, for godssakes. I will never tell them how I actually feel, but I have to finally vent about this. Don't get me wrong, if I get a Christmas letter giving updates about a distant relative's health or something, I'm grateful for the information. But if I read one more "article" about their son's perfect grade point average, or how the whole family is learning Japanese "for fun," I'll puke! Please tell me I'm not alone.

Hey, i am 16 and i was wondering if it is ok if i am nude around my cousin. She is 21 and her and i have been nude around each other before. We dont do it to be sexual, but we both feel comfortable this way and it doesnt bother us. We go and swim in her pool nude, and take hikes in the woods behind her house nude too. Im not sure if this is wrong or not though since she is older and a girl and i am a boy.

I am a database developer who sits in section of six cubicles joined together like a honey comb.

This woman in her mid 20's, talks valley-girl speak a mile a minute on the phone frequently, and 75% of her calls are personal, involving drama - she's mad at one of her girlfriends, and is telling one of her other friends - this goes on all day.

I have the type of job I really need to focus - every project is in some way new and very challenging.

She was gone friday afternoon, and my productivity went through the roof. Is there something abnormal about me, that I can't hang with this gal ? Is there something I can do to focus ? This goes on all day - I'm a former temp who was converted to full-time recently, and I don't want to complain as a new employee

Last night (after a couple of hot toddies) I sent an email to someone who told me to my face that she hates me (why, I don't know) and congratulated her and her husband on her being pregnant. I wasn't rude or anything like that. But I thought since it's Christmas I would be the bigger person and say something nice. Also, in the back of my head I was curious as to what her reaction would be when she read my nice email. She is very rude and takes every opportunity to be mean to people, especially her family. She purposely keeps things like this from her family and she got angry at me for sending care packages to her husband when he was in Iraq (we're both Army veterans).
It's actually kind of funny to be nice to a person who is mean. But I'm nice to everyone. It's just a lot harder to be nice to her. Did I make a mistake in doing this? Honest opinions only and please; no rude comments. It's Christmas!

I have a friend and my dad said that instead of christmas presents, her parents are donating money to a charity and i thought that her family had decided this together or my dad made it up which is something he would do to try and get me and my brother to do the same. asked her about it and she had no idea what i was talking about and my dad told me after i got off the phone that that was her christmas present. I can't believe i told her, please tell me what to do!

I'm a soft-spoken, quiet, shy person. At work during lunch sometimes I won't know what to say or will just be in my own world and I tend to fiddle with things like the top of my water bottle - just twirling it in a circle and stuff. Not sure if it's nervous energy or what, but it's just calming to me. Anyway, as I was fiddling with my water bottle one day, I realized a coworker of mine was just watching me and started smiling. What do you think caused her to smile while watching me?

Whenever I am walking with friends through a parking lot or across the street, they always get excited and warn me about passing cars. I am sick of it! I ask them why. Does it look like I don't know they are there? Am I walking into them? They say no and that they are just being caring. It stifles me. I can see and hear the cars. I tell them to worry about themselves. I am a grown woman and I will be fine. How can I get them to relax and be quiet?

Today at Wal-mart I tried to hand the cashier one of three bags of cat food, but she told me she already got it. When I got out to the car, I realized that she only charged me for two of the three bags. It was a (approximately) 30 dollar bag. Instead of taking it back inside like a good samaritan, I drove off telling myself that it was Wal-mart's Christmas gift to me. Should I feel bad?

Me and a couple friends were driving into the city for a night of partying, we live about 40 min away. Anyway as we driving one of my friends had to pee because alcohol (not the driver). So we pull into a gas station but guess what - it's just a person in a tiny booth, no service or bathrooms!

So my friend ran around to the side of the building and past this ice vending machine. And she just went for a pee there on the asphalt, couching behind the ice machine!!!

What do you do, if in the same situation?
