I have a business that has limited parking that I pay rent and upkeep on. When I get in in the morning I see that several cars are already in the lot. They are there all day and are gone by the time I leave and back the next day. I assume that the cars belong to employees of surrounding businesses. I frequently see cars leave because of no place to park. I have the legal right to tow but I want to give notice first. I would like to send a letter to the businesses or put notes on the cars to give notice but I would like to word the letter in a way that does not create ill will. I am not angry I just want my customers to have a place to park.

Some friends called me, and left a message regarding going out to eat and bowling next weeking. However they didn't say where they want to eat at, and the last two times it was at this italian food restaurant that I can't even stand the smell of. I think lasagna, and all that is so disgusting, I don't want to be near it, I doubt theres anything else on the menu either. - ok see it as weird.
What should I say when I call back today, and he says "yeah it's at (nasty italian food place)" I don't want to be like, no I don't like their food, or think it's disgusting.
If it's almost anywhere else, i'm totally down in going.

thanks

I am the coolest white boy I know. I'm proud of my race and I respect ALL other races. I was raised around black folk growing up in Atlanta, Georgia and I am here to tell you my brothers and sisters that when a white boy calls a black a N----r, a fight is bound to happen.
But when a "Brother" calls another brother the "N" word, the response is sometimes like, "*****, shut your mouth and pass me da blunt." ???
I told your *** I was a cool *** white boy?

But like "Huckaberry" points out..."What's up with the "Race Card"???

We have a certain black guy at work who has been caught sleeping on the job. Nothing happened he yelled discrimination. Then theres a certain few blacks who spend there time going back and forth to the break room. then theres a certain few blacks who just stand there and watch others work. One black guy spends 45min at acomplishing something that takes 20min for everyone else. I was told that if the supervisor says something to them they scream discrimination. Theres got to be a line drawn somewhere but where?? Watch they will say this is discrimating to post this question.

I work for a commercial real estate firm. It is a cool job with one big exception, my boss. This jerk makes my life miserable. This week, we had a company Thanksgiving party at a hotel. Nearly everyone showed up with a date except for me. My girlfriend had dumped me last week . She had caught me sleeping with another woman whom I had just met at a club. I was standing at the bar trying to get as loaded as I possibly could on the company's tab when I saw the same girl my girlfriend caught me with last week. I was just about to approach her when the boss stepped in front of me to introduce me to that woman. She was his wife! We both thought we played it off well, like two complete strangers. Later that evening when the boss was busy getting his butt kissed by his employees, his wife and I snuck out to my car for a romp. Little did we know, he was on to us. We were barely started when he came pounding on my windshield threatening to end my life. Well, two things ended that night, my career with his company, and his marriage to his wife. almost 1 week later, and I still sleep with his gold-digger, ex-wife, who is trying to yet again to get engaged with another rich man.Is what i im doing wrong? And is there any chance i could get my job back?

...Should I report them to the shift manager? Or just follow through with it and remove both of our sexual urges in a convenient battle of the genitalia? Serious Question please answer Asap

Serious, and honest question.
I personally would be killed roughly the second or third time I opened my mouth, because I have a cruel, sadistic, and sarcastic mindset, but I'm curious about how OTHERS would cope with being forced to be brutally honest, about anything, and everything.
It sounds fascinating. :P

Let's say you're around some one you don't know - convenience store clerk, grocery store bagger, etc., and you realize they have a booger dangling. Do you tell them? Or do you spare them the embarrassment and hope that the next person will?

I posted this under R&S, but it might be better under Ettiquite? I'll try it here, too.

There is this lady who works at my mother's apartment complex. She is part of the maintenace staff. She is very sweet and and is extremely helpful to my mom. She's very friendly, and we talk regularly. As someone who celebrares Christmas, every year I bake goodies, or wrap little Christmas candles to give to casual acquaintences, such as neighbors, the postman, etc. This year I had planned to give a gift like this to each of my mom's maintenance staff. However, yesterday, in casual conversation I found out that this one woman is Jehovah's Witness. That's OK with me as I have NO bias whatsoever. However, my question is: Is it appropriate or in-appropriate to go ahead and give her this little rememberance? If it's not appropriate, should I scrap the idea of giving them to any of the maintenance staff? I would hate to give everybody something but her. But I don't want to commit

I crapped my pants today at work and got it all over the place in my cubicle. Everyone in the office knows about it and now they don't respect me because I stunk up the entire office. I think one of my coworkers put laxatives in my food or something because people at this place are always playing pranks like that. I think I know who it is and I hate the guy because he is such a rude person. Should I confront him and kick his behind or get him back with another prank? Suggestions for other pranks would be much appreciated as well.

Gotta ask what I would usually consider a rather childish question, but I'm curious about it. I just got in from a flight where the seats were 2 by 2. I was in the exit row window seat, so the person next to me was in an aisle, not middle. Apparently the exit row window does not have two armrests, only the shared one in between the seats, so my "window side" was already rather uncomfortable (I'm not small and was rather smushed against the window, but fit fine in the seat). My seatmate, who had full use of her entire seat, the aisle-side armrest, and the aisle leg space, insisted on trying to push my arm off my only rest for the entire flight. With only one, am I still obligated to share that one?

Granted, that was my only annoyance with flying this entire Thanksgiving weekend, which I'm incredibly grateful for. But I was curious about that, for future reference. (Please, no snide comments. I'm not asking in that witchy whiny tone, I'm just curious.)

My Mom recently told me that my Aunt who is 71, used to hit and beat her 3 sons when they were children, throwing them against walls-pulling their hair,, she said her husband beat them as well with a belt. for not eating all their food on a plate, walking the wrong way, etc
My Mom also told me she kept a lock of the refridgerator so they coudlnt eat when they wanted, only when she opened the lock.
My Aunt has always verbally abused me, put me down, i never understood why..she recently cut my Mom off for going to Rome for Christmas instead of spending it at her house. so my Mom is explaining to me why shes a control freak, but my Mom said in her generation it was normal and common for parents to beat their kids up, is this true?

She also told me she encouraged my Mom to beat me up as a child, my Mom confessed to the only time she ever hit me as a direct influence by my Aunt.

Spent hours at school today and my mom decided to pick me up. We went to the subway and stuff and we changed trains awhile later. When we arrived there, my mom sat down on a seat. The moment I got inside, it was already darn smelly. I found out where the smell was coming from when I sat down. My mom got this weird look when she finally came to her senses and picked up the smell. I couldn't even believe it because she just pointed out the hobo who was smelly and wouldn't stop complaining (she did it SOMEWHAT silently to herself. It was definitely loud enough for the public to hear though). Honestly, shouldn't she have kept it to herself and jsut moved to another seat silently?

Whenever I realize I have dialed a wrong number I tell the person on the end of the line that I am sorry I disturbed them. I just think that is the polite thing to do. We get a lot of hang up calls. I just think that's rude. I don't lose sleep over it or anything ... it's just not nice in my opinion. What do you think?

I read this question and wanted to reply, but this has already been resolved. So more than just a question, an added information is in order. When we sneeze, our heart stops for a second or 2, so therefore people say God bless you so in case your heart continue to stop, you get your final benediction. :)
